Nearly slid off a mountain this weekend! Tight, snowy trails (that've been turned to ice by others that've already gone up em) are no fun at all when you hit a bump that slides the back end out...Still wondering if the 4th gen on all-seasons made it down the way I came up.

Took some pics after the trail opened up and I cleaned my pants.

i can relate to those conditions, looking like the first pic a week or so ago.
1' ruts and in there was ice from people packing it down. actually made it up with my fresh ATs (snow stamped) pretty damn easily i was surprised. ran the same trail yesterday and a week later going down it, and it did try to slide on me a bit. luckily there werent drops off this hill or it could have been sketchy. still amazed at the control of this truck. did you run 4L-locked, 2 gear for a lot of this?

I have General Grabbers, also snow stamped, that I aired down to like 30psi (I usually run em at 45, would've gone down to 25-20 if I'd have known about the snow). They were great in the straight bits and crawled right up the hill, but the issue was when I needed to accelerate and they hit a rock that bumped the rear sideways. They'd spin and then want to slip towards the edge of the trail. Some more weight in my rear end probably would've been helpful.

This trail was a single track with maybe a 2ft buffer on either side with the occasional wide spot where you could pass. On either side was a cliff going up and a cliff going down 50-60ft.

I had it locked in hi range cuz I was worried about the extra torque from low range spinning the tires and making it slip sideways when I had to bump over stuff. Maybe low range would've been better for just letting it crawl up the hill. I'm not sure.

^ That's a section of the trail that's actually not quite as bad dropoff-wise (but was completely iced over in that video, from last year). I don't think there was any snow on that bit this weekend.

Painted frame internally with Eastman internal, and externally with Eastman rust encapsulator. Frame is solid and want to keep it that way

Good from far... Far from good. LOL... There are a few big runs in it. Debating to get it professionally done but given this piece will get rock chipped to hell... probably going to leave it alone.

Ok so, we don't get much rain here in NM, and I haven't even used it while camping yet. Anyway, we got some torrential downpours and my Yescom 6.6 x 8.2 ft awning decided to fill itself with water because the zipper is upside down when its installed properly. I reached out to them, and they gave me 20% off and told me how to do it, so I made a little review / fix video on how to correct the "factory" flaw.

A little Monday camping

Had a chance to go out camping and exploring earlier this week. Weather is more than cooperating with us.

After doing the front grill and the badges I decided to try out some Plasti dip on my wheels. Not a bad result considering the low cost to do it.

Smokers kit, for $21 it's a bargain and a 5 minute install. I don't smoke but need the extra socket to charge my Garmin. Need to find out how to refresh the leather on the gear stick.

While I had the trim off I also put a 74 bulb in for the cup holder.
