2006-2009 got more rounded cladding. Gaps are different, how they fit together is different too.
Jdkilroy got a bumper on his that's a universal fit for 03-09 and there is a 2-3" gap between the end of the bumper and the continuation if the fender flare.

I bought a 1998 Ford Escort LX with about 125k miles on it just over 2.5 years ago for $500. It gets 33mpg, I've only put about $120 into as far as maintenance goes, and it's super cheap to insure. You'd be surprised by how clean it is... it's no chick magnet, but it runs me back and forth to work (32 miles round trip) and all over town while my 4Runner is tucked away in the garage.

Yea I want an old celica/Carola/Tacoma 4 cylinder/ whatever, as long as its a manual. I started on manual and wish my truck was too...

They made 5spd manual RAV4s, first and second gen I think. Pretty rare though but those things got close to 30mpg. I say that because I used to have an '05, my sister has it now. Those things are damn quick for what they are. Were you the one that had one too?

You could probably get them to amortize the down payment over the term of the lease so $0 down & $227.33/mo instead if that's easier. It's what I did with my wife's lease. YMMV.

Yea I'm looking at a bunch of options. I'd rather get a used car paid in full like I did with my 4Runner. Cheaper insurance and no more payments.

Finally figured out where the sloshing water sound was coming from.... I'm gonna be taking apart my right rear door tomorrow morning to try to get it out. Been wondering where that was coming from for the last 4 months...

Got my 04 a couple weeks ago and got my first mod today. Picked up a homelink maplight and auto/thermo rear view at the junkyard yesterday, got them in today. On the downside, went to use the cargo cover today and the piece on one end of the cover that hooks in the back was missing laying in the back. One screw on floor, one missing.

Finally had a little time to do some little mods.
First one was upgrading my reverse lights. I had seen a couple of people talking about switching to an LED bulb for the reverse and didn't really think it would make a big difference.....I was very wrong. I contacted Whitebeauty and he hooked me up with some 9.5w led's. They have a direct beam shooting directly back, as well as led's on the sides to throw light into the reflectors. I could not be happier with the results. If you need some more light in reverse, contact Whitebeauty. Thanks man!

I like my 886 fog bulbs. I have to try those LEDs out when these burn out. I'm already gonna do that hidden aux reverse light mod haha

Ever since i removed my lighted running boards and replaced them with the step tubes, I (as well as my wife and kids) have missed having lights on the steps. I was glad to find these Eagle Eye LED lights on ebay, for around $4 a pair shipped. These are 3w lights, which doesn't sound like much but they put out plenty of light. I originally wanted to mount one in the rocker strip, under the doors. I would have liked to have one above each step pad but that panel is right up against the metal of the body. I decided to make some small brackets and mount them to the insides of the step tube mounts. They are far enough up under the body, where you can't see them and just at the right height to cast light on the step pads. I had clipped the wires from my running boards, so all i had to do was tie them into those. They come on when i unlock and open the doors. I am very happy with these as well.
