How are they holding up dent-wise? Any current pics?
EDIT: Ricochet skids overall are so much less $$$! Why can't I find the LCA skids for 4Runners? Are they same as the FJ?

Drove it to Tractor Supply to buy jack stands and got a great deal on two 6 ton jack stands for $20 each!
In the parking lot, saw another lifted 4th gen and ended up meeting [MENTION=89960]03LTDTR4[/MENTION]!
Then drove it back home and replaced the inner bushing sleeves in the LR UCAs to the updated ones. Ran into a problem with damaged threads on the ball joints that I will hopefully take care of Monday.

I bought them off an FJ owner. Our front and rear suspension components are identical.
I buy most of my parts for an FJ in hopes that they are more robust. Nawp....
It'll fit!
They hold up great with bumps and scrapes. No visible damage yet

Got a leveling kit and new Toyo Open Country AT 2's
And then the night after I got them (last night) I hit a nail big enough to go through the tread and do this within 30 seconds
So today I went to get it patched...but the shop was closed...luckily the guy I talked to noticed my auburn shirt...got it patched on his off day free of charge...war eagle!!

Added 80mm ccfl in the cup holder, did some night driving and its too bright, gona leave it dark there, but it dose hinder your vision thru the windshield with bright light down below, also reflecting back from the front window tint.

How did you support the battery tray? There is not a lot of flat area over there.
Finished the dual battery install.
Dual Duracell AGM group 34's mounted with the DirtyParts tray and wiring. mounted my ARB compressor in front of the battery. Just enough space, but had to it rotate it forward to clear everything.

Pressed in new lower ball joints, new light racing bushing sleeves on the UCA and swapped out 600 lb 2.5radflos for 700 lb extended travel units.

I would like to maintain some performance, but if I go all out, could one day supercharge the V6. I would think SS is less malleable than mild steel. BTW, just 'liked' your FB page. Love the good stuff you're doing!

I used the battery tray from DirtyParts. In the picture on their site you will see an odd shaped metal bracket.
Dirty Parts
There is a bracket underneath the tray to make it level. A couple holes to drill and drop the bolts thru. It worked out really well. A little tight back there, but just enough clearance hood strut.

I'm leaning towards AL, maybe from Ricochet. My fatty 285 Duratracs are weighing me down so I may do all AL underneath. Can't wait to get my BAMF sliders though!!!!

Yeah I like the AL Ricochets. Esp for $129! Are yours painted, or anodized? Looks good matching the body! Seems like BudBuilt is my only option for full skids + gas tank in AL. The transfer case & gas tank(I think) skids from Ricochet won't work on 4R's. Will probably do BudBuilt rear differential skid in SS. Gawd this is getting expensive!
My understanding is it fits both v6 & v8.

Armor is expensive, breaking things is fun but even more expensive!
My LCA skids are actually just primed with rustoleum self etching primer and painted with $4 ACE True Value red paint. It matched the SRP so I'm happy!
