I am new to this forum and also a new Toyota 4Runner owner. I bought this 2006 4Runner on Tuesday and I absolutely love it. I bought it with 100,545 miles on it and it runs like a champ, very happy with my purchase. The vehicle is completely stock and looks like it's never seen a dirt road(that's gonna change real quick). I have so much reading and research to do on this forum and as I add things I will post pics. Thanks to all of you that have poured your time and knowledge to give guys like me a heads up on what to do and what not to do.

some people have said that backing up and stopping over and over with the parking brake can adjust your parking brake, so that what i tried today. i think it may have made some adjustment but its not where i want it. in my brothers taco i could make a handbrake turn and in my truck at one time was not even able to lock them up on a gravel parking lot. well today i was able to make a 90° e-brake turn in a gravel parking lot but its still not as tight as i want it or have had it in other vehicles. does anyone know if it is possible to get our parking brakes to lockup the rear tires on dry pavement?

E-brake turns in a truck? That's a thing?haha you have to pull the wheel off and there should be a hole in the rotor with a wheel that you can turn with a screwdriver. It's something like all the way down and two clicks up is where it should be. You have to do it on both sides if I'm not mistaking....
Are you going to grind the welds to make it look smoother?

i will take a look at it this weekend. it was sad, last winter i was not even able to make a handbrake turn in snow. so the reverse thing did make some of a difference
