Everyone seems to find a Hi-Lift as a necessity. I carried one for years and years and I finally stopped when realizing I had used it once. The one time I did was on someone else's truck so I've settled for the winch.

Nice setup for sure! The paint was expensive and surely doesn't hold up as well as powder-coating but damn does it look right when color-matched!

Painted my 2-month old re-maned front calipers.

Picked up 4 1inch wheel spacers here from another member. Fronts went on fine, tires are right out to the edge of the fenders. Rear studs are a thread too long, they stick out thru the spacer and interfere with the back of the wheel just a little. I shall be grabbing 12 front studs, which are 4mm shorter, and swapping them out. Probably will need a BMC soon too....

That seems to have worked. AC button now flashes when pressed. I also don't hear anything engaging when I push defrost.

Doesn't look that hard to swap out the AC Condenser (>$100 part, sits in front of the radiator) so I should really fix that.

Since you pulled the relay your A/C system is now inop, hence your defrost will not work. The defrost system works by removing the humidity in which it needs the A/C to do that.

If your condenser is toast or maybe risk it freezing up and taking out the belt... than why run it?

You also need to remember that not everyone lives in the humid south. :eyebrows:

Grille update

Painted and installed my own version of a custom grille, complete with Mr. Diaz' wonderful centerpiece. And like all the changes to my truck, it goes faster now.

My "defrost" is working just fine. hit defrost button, air is directed to windshield. Cars without AC still have Defrost.

Defrost is always better with the AC working, but it will still blow air onto the windshield even without the AC working.

My AC condenser has a leak and won't hold refrigerant. I haven't had the time to replace it myself yet.

I wanted to stop the AC cycling on when I had the air pointed at the windshield since the AC isn't working anyway. Seemed like a needless load on the system. So I pulled the relay. I can just as easily put the relay back in if there is a reason to do so. Or when I get the AC fixed.

Is that clear now? I didn't intend for there to be a kerfuffle about this. :lookout:

The last couple months I've been running 5100s set at 1.75 in the front with ome 864s and fj rear springs. The lean was bugging the crap out of me.. Been to busy to fix it. Bought some 896s for the rear from a forum member and they came into. Threw them on tonight. Much.. MUCH better! Pics will come tomorrow. [emoji106]
