What did you do with your 4runner today?

Installed the new LEDs in my HVAC and two of the nobs and the rear window heater don't light up. Any idea why? already took them out and moved them around. And they are also in all the way and turned as far as possible

You turned them 180 degrees and tried again?

On a side note, do you think they're ver going to come up with a wind filter for video cameras? It seems like anytime I watch an outdoor video, the wind noise is absolutely horrible.

There is a setting for that on my camera. Canon G9

First off, overkill. Second, that won't fit a point and shoot. But if they have a condenser, it would work.

Replaced my parking, plate and reverse lights with LEDs from Mark (Whitebeauty) at Lightsource. They look great. The reverse light is 11w and is extremely bright, exactly what I was wanting. I'll post up some pictures once I get my camera fixed.

Also, my Mini D2S Retro kit arrived so now i'll be able to finish up my headlights within the next week. I went with the 50w and 5k bulbs. I'm hoping they'll be exactly what I wanted (bright, pure white light) and no future problems with the extra juice.

Today I'm going to order either a "bull bar" or a "brush guard" so I have a little something to mount spot lights on. I really can't decide what item would be better for protection and adding spot lights too... Any input?

I liked my Westin brush guard because it mounts the lights at grille level so they are a little more effective for distance. That being said, you could always do a satoshi and run your lights behind that and keep your ground clearance/mean styling of the 4Runner

Frontrunner "brush guard" (protected my truck a bit when I got into an accident at 45mph... Girl ran a stop sign in front of me)

Westin brush guard (loooool my truck was clean and shiny then, "blinged out", and washed and waxed every weekend)

Retrofitted 06+ satoshi on my 05 (black and red ftw)

The brush guard is the same one I am looking at but the bull bar is different. Looking at some HID's for spot lights for now. I plan to try out multiple types of spot lights and want to hide the LED ones behind the grille and behind the rear window or under the car. Still building off the cheaper goods for right now (lighting and maint) ya know?

Well at first it was purpose-built mall crawler.. Then I got into my accident and my insurance (Amica is the bomb) replaced my front runner with the Westin Then after wheeling with the Westin, it started to cramp my style. I decided to pull it off after my fiance kinda bent it pretty bad in NJ coming off an obstacle. None the less, I think you will like the Westin. Its a sturdy piece of metal that will hold the lights and still give you room to put those LED lights behind the grill, both upper and lower.

I would also recommend the hidden reverse lights like I did. Get some (I think)1"x 1/16" metal stock and bend it into mounts, remove the useless coat hangers, and bolt the metal there. Instant solution for real cheap and real easy. Best part is, if you don't want those lights anymore in the back, you can just unbolt the mounts and put the useless coat hangers back up, and no one will ever know :cheers:

thats lame the skids don't cover the alignment bolts that was the main seller for me with the BAMF LCA skids.

Honestly noticed that when I was installing and I thought "wow wtf...."

But whatever I guess... Hopefully my new skids will cover the alignment bolts
