I followed this tread for the mod 2004 4Runner: DRL Disable With On/Off Capability - YotaTech Forums and just added a ground wire from a ground point spliced into the output side of the switch. This allows the DRL's to stay on when headlights are on.

Tires arriving on Monday, wheels coming up from NJ on the evening of the 25th. Install on the 26th

I have the same wheel tire combo that you will be running, they sit almost perfectly flush with the flare without any spacers.

You will really like those tires.

Nice. Although I hope you don't plan on riding when its too muddy out. I tried this setup for a while but have since moved mine outside (on my T2) due to all the mud/dirt. I ended up having to carry an extra tarp or something to keep it from dripping everywhere after rides and it just wasn't worth it. Then again, maybe I'm just OCD. I will say that this setup was perfect for sketchy areas if you're worried about the bikes getting stolen.

A buddy of mine who runs a shop and used to work at Firestone says that the way the align tires isn't proper and just getting them aligned on the computer to be all green doesn't necessarily mean that they are properly aligned. He tried saying they dont make money on lifetime alignments and what his shop does is the "bubbletape" method. thoughts or input from any and all members?

Getting them in the green for a stock height/suspension is ok because the alignment profile is made for that suspension setup. Change the angles and the default profiles are useless

So if I read this right, for stock vehicles the computer will in fact suffice, but for lifted and modified vehicles it is in his words "worthless". He says if not properly balanced and aligned the alignment will just eat your tires, but wouldnt that actually default on a poor tire mount and balance and not necessarily alignment? Sorry I am a noob, and he is just arguing and try to sell me on his shop which doesnt offer lifetime?

My Daystar lift installed!!! Unfortunatley, I'm at work until 7am, can't get it or see it till then. Shop guys did snap a pic and sent it to me....they like it a lot.

Yesterday I swapped my FJ Special Edition rims from my Tacoma to my 4Runner. Looks outstanding.

Pics to come in a new build thread. Tomorrow.

Finally finished my Daystar lift. Today I took the FJ springs out of the rear and put the stock ones back in with the Daystar spacers. Much better

Got the guy who does my company vehicle graphics start working on a TRD looking company logo for the 4runner. I want it to look kind of like a stock TRD quarter panel decal but obviously say ABSOLUTE ELECTRIC and the phone and licence number. I'll post the proof when he gets it done. I was waiting for them to get the tundra lettered up and got bored so.... I might end up with something crazy, can't wait to see the proofs.
