Not a real wheeling trip, but found some spots to at least try out the new suspension/wheels out & flex just a little! Been DYING to get her out! It was also useful to discover I need to pound or cut back some front fender metal, which rubs at back of tire on driver's side, during slight left turn, being stuffed heading downhill.

Gave her a much needed wash after 2 road trips and some mud the past few days. Interior is for tomorrow.

Edit: half an hour later and its covered in pollen, gotta love spring!

GSMTR Weekend Trip Pics

We made it back from a rather wet GSMTR weekend yesterday afternoon. I've never seen so many different generations of Toyota off road vehicles in one place before! We camped Thursday through Sunday morning and besides the rain Saturday morning it was a great weekend. There was only 4 fourth gens out there with three of them being from our camp. These were the friendliest group of people I've ever been around. You couldn't go to the bath house without getting a wave or compliment about your vehicle. I'll definitely be back next year. No one broke down or had to be recovered even though some spots we thought both would happen. I beat on my truck A LOT all weekend and couldn't be happier about it's capabilities. Onto the pics!

I got 3/4 up the double black rock elevation before calling it quits. I never expected to get that far!​

Damn, those Firestones look small. I really need some 285/75 km2's!!

Edit: and I'm thinking of plasti-dipping the grill, get rid of the only chrome. Thoughts?

Completely replaced all 4 brakes last saturday..... NAPA remans (lifetime warrantee), Brembo rotors and ceramic pads..... Amazing how much better the brakes feel!:thumb:

Was pretty straight forward..... A lot will depend on how much rust you have on your calipers.... Getting the bolts out to remove the calipers required a good breaker bar and plenty of PB blaster but doing everything actually made it pretty simple since I could remove the entire assy, pads and all.... Rotors came off pretty easily with a few whacks with a deadblow hammer... Took the opportunity to also change over to speed bleeders which made bleeding the brake system much easier.....

Not too bad technically but dirty work..... If you decide to do this for the first time would recommend that you have someone with experience help out and/or spend some time looking at the procedure on youtube so you know what is involved....

Bought a 1/2" intake manifold spacer from XTP.

He has a group buy price of $215 with anodized finishes.

Hopefully this will add some low end power by adding air volume.

Worst case, I'll return it.
