What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finally installed my window rain vents that I got for Christmas. I'm psyched I can now park my car with the windows cracked rain or shine. Cheap but effective mod for me. Was informed also my SW Bumper went to powdercoating today.

I put new wheels on Old Blue today. He is an 2005 SR5 that has lived in OH all his life so the finish on the original wheels was peeling and chipped. Bought these SE wheels off this forum and put them on today at the base auto shop. I learned how to mount and balance tires and I had a great time!

Chrome is for 40+ year old. Ditch it.

*Ahem* That's a broad remark. Stirring up the elders again, are we? LOL... Depends on the application. For example, it works well on this beautiful 1970 Datsun 2000 seen last Sunday at The Marin Sonoma Concourse d'Elegance. But yeah, not keen on chrome for the 4R. Coincidentally, I painted my Total Chaos rear link skids today & they may be too blingy. I'm going for an aluminum finish, to match my future AL skids. Any suggestions on paint?

today i degreased and washed the engine compartment, removed HCF, tried out the Turtle Wax trim restoration kit, and gave it a thorough bath. Next on my list is painting the...uhh...engine cover..thingy...

285/65 18 BFG KO's. I had been debating on the Toyo Open Country A/T II's but they are hard to get in that size and I couldn't find any Extremes to look at in person. Plus I would hate to lose the sale waiting on tires to come in.....:clap2:

Unfortunately it was a busy day up there so there weren't any good clear spots for that. BTW did you get your new 4R yet?

Too bad that would have been a nice picture. People think I am insane since I used to pose my old 4runner and take pics. But it looked soooo pretty

I am picking up the truck on Friday morning just in time to take it out for Memorial day. I am going to Verdun France for Memorial day to visit the trenches and the ossuary from WW1. I will post pics of the runner on its first trip Next week it already has appointments to get all taken care mechanically. And those horrid scratches removed....it is painful just to look at them! And I did not do it!!
And then I am taking it to Croatia
