What did you do with your 4runner today?

I believe it's strong enough and good stuff, just not sure how good the traction will be on it.

Mine will have the "Grit surface." Also, I may score/cut sipes in it if I feel it's too slippery. With knobby treads, there should be no problem grabbing in.

Glad you found it. The material is pretty beefy and well made. I am very happy with it. Mine cost $55 depending on where you live I guess. You're gonna need some Yakima universal brackets. I bought the 10V brackets which are discontinued on ebay. Installs in about 10 mins. No dislikes, but I kind of wish that the bolt had a hole through it so i can slip a padlock. No biggie, I'm just going to get a cable lock or something. Other that that, I love it!! HTH

I see, I didn't realize the link he posted was the same as what you ordered. I just thought that was a generic grating manufacturer.

You might even search for mfr's closer to you. I had one option for local pickup, but it was more, plus I'd have to pay sales tax.

Installed my LR UCAs and Eibach/Bilstein suspension !

Gotta like finding that 10 year old 32mm combo wrench for the ballpoint top Nut. No air tools but the 32 inch breaker bar was clutch.

Trying to get an alignment tomorrow but drives OK now.

I'm replacing that ball joint tomorrow on my truck, just got the 32mm socket tonight. Did you have to assemble the ball joint or do you just torque the top nut and set the ball joint to the spindle?

It's already assembled for the most part. You just need to pick the Caster setting you need (see the install sheet). I used D.

It installs from the undersideof the UCA and the top nut goes onto the washer and you set some camber to get going. I think that nut is 150 ft lbs.

The bottom of the ballpoint spindle just does down into the upright pretty easily and you torque the castle nut.

You'll need a pitman arm puller to pop that old ball joint spindle out of the upright. It's in there really tight. Mine sounded like a 22 shot !

Thanks Mark, actually the Pitman Arm Puller got me into this mess in the first place. It bent the threads on the bottom of the stud just enough to not allow me to get the nut back on. I figured I'd just buy a new ball joint instead of repairing the threads. That's coming tomorrow. The ball joint is already popped off at least, just gotta take the top nut off. Yeah 150 is correct for the top nut. Looks like I'll be using a fence post over the breaker bar for that!
