What did you do with your 4runner today?

I'm going to lean towards a variation of option b myself. Even though said wife is all in "mode" to pack and get ready for tomorrow's camping trip... I'm gonna drink a beer! Ran outta Land Shark though (just like Corona if you haven't seen it), so it might have to be a Blue Moon...

I used to live in south Florida so Land Shark is very popular there, I am a craft beer drinker but Corona mixed with flavored rum is my guilty pleasure.
 
I will join in on option B! I just went out to the garage and looked at my truck. Then I decided it was too dang hot to start taking the front and rear plastic panels off for plastidipping. That was my option A...option B onvolves a Bloody Mary since I am out if beer for now!
 
Rebel, I totally agree with you about the Torsen diff. Not having the traction aids makes the truck handle completely different. It requires a bit more skill to control wheel spin and stuff, but seeing as I know what terrain I'm on, and what my situation is, where the 4Runner just guesses- I'd rather be in complete control.

I keep warping rotors every time I wheel with my traction on. Granted, I usually use the skinny-pedal-locker-simulator, but there is no need for the truck to CLAMP on the brakes and warp my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th sets of rotors in the 3 years I've owned the damn thing....
 
Finally fixed the light behind the a/c controls. Then I started running the wiring for my ICOM 2m/440 radio; got the antenna installed and the seperate speaker installed.

Hahaha ATRAC works best with low wheel speed, there has been times when I had a tire lifted or in loose sand where I simply gave the vehicle very little throttle and listened to all the popping and grinding sounds as the ATRAC did its thing and I moved forward slowly but surely.

It's such a good system that if it was paired with a solid axle nobody would ever buy a Jeep!!!
 
Technically it was done yesterday...finally installed the bumper.

Had a fun canoe trip with Sarah, then she got sassy so being the responsible individual that I am, I flipped the canoe over.

Me: :banana:
Her: :hurt: then :lmao:

It was a fun day!

Then I headed to the marina to pick up some cleats for the catamaran, that way I can keep it moored to the dock instead of swimming it out the buoy. I have a fear of buoy's, being next to bigger boats in the water (like a motor boat while I'm swimming), chains/ropes underwater, deep water (in lakes), etc. I have no idea how that makes sense because I love being 130 feet under the surface when I go diving, its just that I like visibility... I have no issue when I have scuba gear on. I dive in sunken ships, follow guide lines, whatever. Just an odd set of phobias. Maybe I'm reincarnated from the Titanic because I was born on the day it sank :noidea:

I digress lol

Currently chilling on the deck with my favorite reading material :)

Sounds fun! I'm a bit of the same way about diving vs open swimming. Guess it's cause you feel like there are more options under water?... Dunno really. :D

Went to Middletown ct for some fun in the woods with charlie corpse. He broke a front axle and had to get out of there in 2wd. Lots of uphill rocks and gooey mud. Had him on the strap lots of times. He made it home, and it was fun , time to celebrate, cheers !
 
OK, despite the bloody Mary's earlier, I could not resist starting on the plastidip project of all things silver on the exterior of my 4runner. First coat on the front panel is drying as we speak and I got my twin 6 year olds involved in the prep work. They are pretty good tapers!
 
I think my modding may finally begin. My parents had been waiting for me to get back my new SAT scores after my first ones were terrible and I got them tonight. 1290! So ordering could finally begin within the week!
