What did you do with your 4runner today?

Early today, just picked up my truck after installation of new front rotors. 4R runs flawless then I put on my cheapo subwoofer back getting ready for our CA road trip on Friday.

Now here comes the RATTLE...more annoying than actually having a rattle snake on board. so took off the sub, tore the door looking for something loose, put the sub back, play jazz music. It took me 3 hrs including driving around ..only to find out that its just the License plate and the plate holder causes the rattle!

Suggestions how to eliminate the license rattle permanently? thanks

Maybe find some sort of 3M product, I know they have foam pads that have adhesive on both side, you could stick a couple of those between the license plate and the hatch or maybe velcro adhesive pads, basically anything to separate the metal on metal vibration.

Made the 4Runner a bit more tech friendly. Swapped in the cigarette lighter and added a double USB port.

I think that door covers the ash tray

Finally decided to fill them holes in my bumper after almost 6 months installed.
Tested the wiring last night and didn't like the piaa logo blockage on the covers, so removed them. Will give them a try like this, if not, will remove them. Piaa 510, ATP.





After the wheeling trip a month ago, and broke the bead at 8 psi, had to ride it down to a safe, level area to re-bead. Decided I better get rid of them sharp burs created and get re-balanced.

Yea, I still have the original (for my truck anyway) single tray/lighter with the larger door. This one has dual cigarette lighter spots (under the door and the one in the center). I haven't actually bought one yet but will be getting one soon.

Nope.

I reused the same plug as the other outlet I had there and then the cigarette lighter plug was tapped up to the wiring harness so I just untapped it and plugged it in. should be wired from the factory.
