Are they a good brand? I don't know anything about sliders....whats the difference between standard and kick out? Which is better bolt on or weld on?

Yes they are a good brand.
Bolt on bolts on, weld on welds on. Some people like either. I ordered bolt on because I can't weld and don't want to pay for someone to weld them, though weld on is generally ~100 cheaper. Look into White knuckle, shockworks, 4xinnovations, stubbs welding
Kickout, google pics, you'll see the difference, the rear "kicks" out with kickouts. All personal preference.
I ordered the shockworks sliders with three tube supports.
Then there's DOM v HREW - HREW isn't as strong but is probably plenty for your needs.

If you remember the sliders on my 4Runner, they are the same ones zopperman spoke of. That will give you an idea of what they look like. They do not have a kickout.
Most of the suppliers that sell sliders on the forum are good. A lot of the decision is personal use.
If you get a set of bolt on I will help install it for you if you want.
If you get weld on I would send you over to Armorology. I don't know any welders here.

Got the absolute worst mileage since owning the vehicle. 16.9 mpg. This has been the hottest week ever here and I have had the AC on full blast constantly. I will admit i have driven a little more aggressively this past week but my question is will the AC and 50% humidity and averaging 99 degrees enough to kill my mileage that much?

Is thathand calculated ? Or from the lie-o-meter on the center console. Cause from what you have on your truck , 16.9 doesn't sound half bad to me. I drive 300+ miles a week , with no added weight and stock tire size, and I'm getting about 17.5 with quite a bit of city mileage. What do you normally get ?

Really guys? And yes I have been doing this for a decade I hand calculate it. Also keep in mind in the midwest we arent going 80mph or always have gridlock. This is just normal driving frequent 10 min hwy trips at maybe 65-70 mph. This is horrible for me haha

no gridlock for me unless im in SF. I cruise 70 all day long. Went on a 300 miles trip, got 15.6 mpg, never went above 70.

did you happen to account for those larger tires? 12.7 sounds rough, but i guess all that island driving with tourist could be the culprit.... I was down a few weeks ago and kept my eyes peeled for your truck. Unfortunately never saw it.

Mine is usally about 8-10 on the happy meter around town (philly) and I can get 19+ IF I try on the highway. But i don't usually try, what fun is that

I practically crapped myself excited the other day when I drove the Audi V8 & got ~24MPG on the highway cruising 70MPH. Forgot how better aerodynamics, weight & gearing make such a huge difference. Around town, it's about the same, if not worse, than the 4R. Definitely worse if I rev it past 5k RPM all day long. Averaging 16-17 overall in the 4R. Summer with A/C on a lot definitely plays a part in MPG reduction.

i live in SF and its gridlock all day, everyday....
the wish-o-meter hovers around 14mpg for me in the city
