yeah man kaw makes (or made) string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other various hand held's. However about 2 weeks ago the company called all their dealers and pulled there hand held line out of stores. Not sure why maybe they had trouble competing price wise but IMO the Kaw string trimmers are top rate equipment and the back pack blower design they ran worked so well no changes were made to it in the 15 years they offered the line. Dad has had this model trimmer (KBL27-C) and a blower made by Kaw for about 9 years now both of them start with one or two pulls of the starter cord. http://kawpower.com/
The sales dude made the comment that they seem to be more focused on there engines than producing equipment. Which they make one hell of a engine 2 and 4 stroke. They've designed these weed eater engines to run on gas with up to 25% ethanol so the 10% allowable ethanol in gas now won't bother them at all.
Oh and yeah I'm not sure about husqy quite yet, although I only need the blower for the side walk, front/rear porches, and the three small trees in the yard so it won't see to much of a workout. I went searching for a Kaw back pack blower as well but the dealer I purchased from sold there last demo model last week. I purchased the last demo model of the string trimmer. luckily they had the model I wanted (smaller size but still rated for a saw blade for brush) great deal though lol about 96 bucks off of retail. I have about 400 yards of fence line that will definitely run it through it's paces
