Got bored with blue....

After doing my initial swap, I was never bothered enough to change the rest of the LEDs. So now I finally got my low fuel light working for the first time in 2 years, finally got to change out my indicator lights, and I removed the TPMS light

a few things.

After mentioning it in another thread, I realized that I hadn't switched over to 4 wheel drive in over a year. Winter here sucked so no need for it. Took about 15 seconds for the indicators to stop blinking, so I guess that is good.

After installing my DVD headrest a few weeks ago, the passenger side module won't eject the DVD, so I had to uninstall it and sent it back for an exchange. Good thing my kid doesn't mind constantly watching Minnie Mouse, LOL.

Monitor out first:

Unplug connector and remove DVD module (player)

After I was finished, I washed her with Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax. Shined up the tires, running boards, wheel wells, applied Meguiars headlight protectant, applied Meguiars "natural shine" protectant on the dash/door trim. All took about 45 minutes. So, a quickie. Truck is "happy".

Anyway, when I parked her for the night, kept her in 4x4 to keep the "4x4 drivetrain" moving for the next couple of days. Can't hurt anything.

Win.

After a chaotic first week and basic car maint. and upkeep I can finally post on here that my t4r is trouble free getting better mileage and making my commute to my new job so much more enjoyable. Yup started my new job. . . .at a FORD dealership. But really it is part of a conglomerate of 46 other dealerships INCLUDING a Toyo one so I'm excited. Discounted parts and service pricing. This could get interesting! I already had 2 diehard Ford truck guys compliment me on my vehicle in the employee lot, and another one(salesman) tried telling me I couldn't continue driving a Toyota now that I'm working at Ford. . . I kindly responded "I'm driving this thing into the ground". When you can get me into an as practical/capable vehicle with the same reliability and mileage we will talk". . .he wasn't too excited with that response.

yessir, will be full resi set up. Once these are on ill be headed back to Lake Almanor for some testing. Hoping this future trip goes better than the first time i went up, i have unfinished business.

Anyone know off hand if I can access the license plate bolts from inside the tailgate...? My bolts kinda REALLY rusted in there, now when I go to loosen them, I start deforming the heads of the screws. Rust sucks! I need my plate off for when I get my bumper this winter

Yes you can. Take off the inner panel and the plastic guard and you'll see them.

i have a ste of "grabbit" screw extractors. you can get them at HD for like 10 bucks, really really good experiences with them for low torque stuff like that

or bust out the grinder and cut a slot for a flat head

Dude that sucks, been there, done that. Pieces of the stupid screw is STILL in my tailgate rattling around. Drives me nuts.

Gonna take of my tailgate cover and spray some PB blaster and try to extract them through the tailgate. Ughhhhhh

And it is pretty funny Austin haha. I don't really care too much. I stuck that side back on with double sided tape for the time being

what did I do?

I just bought my 03 Limited with a 4lt V6. with 160 000KM.

Before winter here I decided to replace the diff and trans case oil with 75W-90 full synthetic. should save a bit on mileage over winter and be easier on transmission.

I already replaced Transmission oil last week:juggle:

Had a great experience with SPC.

I installed my new LR UCA's in just about an hour and half, went pretty smoothly. I called SPC and they spoke to me for 20 minutes telling me what to tell firestone for my alignment tomorrow and told me to give their number to firestone and someone will talk to them if they need real time help.

I even spoke to the guy who designed the arm. Very pleased with them and the apparent quality of the UCAs as well as the ease of install
