What did you do with your 4runner today?

Drove it to the post office to drop off 5 body lift kits. Can't keep the damn things on the shelf!

Sat around staring at [MENTION=95076]piccrazy30[/MENTION]'s gauges while the not-so-purple "purple" LEDs mocked me and completely ruined my timeframe. Not too stoked about that, but Marie is an understanding woman so I should have the time to make her gauge cluster purple and AWESOME!

Better than redneck rake.



Im in CA, its a lifestyle. I had 3" of lean on my last truck.

I'm just about level, depending how much shit is in the back of my truck at that given time.

Nothing too significant but, I just installed some 3k HID Fogs I ordered a week ago.... (I'll try to get a pic in a day or so.. )

I just upgraded mine with 3K HIR bulbs..... Yellow looks good but still not as strong as I would like..... A HID upgrade like yours might be what I need....

What Fogs did you go with and how bright are they?

Hey Bob, these are the ones I purchased (Autovizion Super Compact 9006 HB4 3000K Golden Yellow HID Xenon Kit Fog Light | eBay) and although I've purchased from different vendors like DDM, These were a little bit cheaper and the ballast was smaller and they included double sided tape, different plugs for different applications, and some zip ties, something other vendors don't include...
And let me tell you, I've had yellow bulbs before in the 4runner as well as other cars and they're are no match for the intensity (Pun intended) of HIDs..


I'll try to get a picture at night as well as during the day if you'd like. But Yes, I am very happy.

Installed my new Alpine 147BT head unit. Very happy with the fit of the crutchfeild installation kit and the easy pairing with my iPhone.

Stupid dash material cracked and fell off though.

The spare wouldn't hold air so I had the tire removed, sandblasted the rim, gave her a shot of clear and had a new tire put on.

Anyone else had a problem with the lowering winch cable for the tire/wheel? Mine was starting to fray and was difficult to lower.

Crutchfield has been the leader in DIYs for many decades. I like the fact that they provide everything(From paper, to phone, to email) for you to make your install simple. :clap2:

Very common. I lower mine every year and spray it with wd-40 and then raise & lower a few times. Been holding up ok since I started doing that.

thats weird, i had mine there and everyone hated talking to me. I put mine in the headliner by where the oh shit handle would be.

Not sure. We just bought a Kenwood unit for her car, the mic looks very similar but not the same. Was planning on installing her mic on the steering column in her honda.
