The v8 is heavier, but it also has beefier springs to help compensate, they should sit similar heights. Maybe his seat is lower?
Also, I will hopefully pull my daystar rears this friday for you. If it's too cold, maybe next week.

She started up like a champ
Windchill -50. Coldest in 20 years, thanks a lot global warming.....
when it was in the -20's here last week mine started...but not like a champ. the starter struggled a little but once it turned over it jumped right into high idle and ran good

TBH, not my favorite - may look better in black since it will match your other stuff on the truck, the dark grey kinda stands out and almost looks like it was an attempt at color matching gone wrong.
ETA - I guess it sort of matches your wheels, but I think black might look better.
but if you like it that's what matters. Feel free to ignore my opinion.
Yeah, it does match the wheels pretty well, but I had in my head a matte version of the OEM silver. I agree with you about the color match gone wrong... Eh, it was only 18 bucks. I'll keep it for a couple of weeks and see if it grows on me. I originally wanted to do just the clear dip on the silver to make it matte-ish, but no stores around me carry the clear.

I think it will grow on you, it looks better the second time around, definitely. You can get the glossifier from amazon.

What I did with it? Drove it over the laurel summit in PA to get to Pittsburgh for work..
What I did for it? Ordered a Rigid SR2 10" combo light bar to mount in my hood scoop.

big fan of the gunmetal plastidip on the hood btw... got the same wheels in the basement waiting on new shoes to come in the mail for install as well...

I'm not a big fan of amber lights on my car so I had a few extra led lights laying around
First i put blue ones In just for laughs
And I also wanted to see what they would look like in my reverse lights
This is what they look like with white led's
I love having this much light power

You can pretty much find any color you want. Purple would be an interesting choice. Here's a link to some purple led bulbs

Lighting requirement laws are, in general, pretty consistent thoughout North America. Usually limited to white - amber to the front. Red - amber to the rear and white for reverse lights. Emergency vehicles exempted.

Wouldn't wanna see you get a tag for it. The whites you show look great. I'd stick with those.
