Wanted to go 285's but stayed at 265/70/17 due to negative offset of the wheels I didn't want to risk doing a lot of cutting and trimming

those plastic thingies inside the fender well to cover up the manifold area. did you take them off? did they break off like mine? does anyone make new ones?
Going to change the oil and filter in my 4runner today.

hey guys, so i just finished the blacked out headlight mod this weekend and I'm loving the look so far :happy:
I sat down for a couple hours and stared at my car and was wondering, it looks like i have a projector lens for my fog lights.
am i able to take apart the fog lights and paint the chrome part outside of it, will that affect the reflection of the projectors, I'm new to knowing anything about projectors, any info if I'm able to paint the chrome/reflector part around it

You do and you can. I've had a set of fogs sitting around forever to black out. I'd use a high gloss paint so it shines a bit, but you will still have plenty of output

I ripped mine off and haven't cared to replace them. I did the 1.25" bodylift too, so that doesn't help fitment any lol.
I took mine off and threw em in the back of my truck. Been collecting dust.

I did a set for a buddy with matte black and it works fine. The chrome isn't for reflection purposes.
I also blacked out his turn signals!
I was thinking the same thing. It would accommodate my BL and probably be a little tougher than that brittle/weak stock rubber.
Reflectors are for show. Projector does all the work.

Of course, I didn't get there without having to deal with crap! I got to my storage unit and it was like quick sand. I had to ride the bike because it was impossible to push through the soggy dirt and sand
Then I finally got there to meet the buyer. He had his buddy with him too, both 18-ish. Both of them look kinda homeboy-ish, so I didn't want to take any chances being away from home and by myself. I had a few inches on em anyway, but I was kinda uneasy. Sketchy neighborhood and shit. So his buddy is reading my stickers and reads my "criminals prefer unarmed victims" sticker out loud. Looked at him dead in the eye and said "I'm VERY pro-second amendment" with a "I'll blow your brains out look" lol. He backed up a few feet
Then I go to unload the bike, release the last strap, take my hand off the bike for half a second to untangle something and a HUGE gust came and knocked the bike over on the trailer. Took $100 off and washed my hands of the damn thing. Bad juju with that one.

They broke off when I did my body lift awhile back. I might make some new ones one day but for now I think its fine.

There's a jeep meet / mod day from the looks of it happening on my street so I had to assert my vehicular dominance by parking like so.
You should put some HIDs in those kcs. :thumb3:

Might just swap them out for some lightforces or put a 20" there. These KCs are dimmer than my low beams.

I might be selling my 30" 5W bar.
The kcs as halogen suck, the light forces are crazy expensive. I'll take some output shots of mine, but with 55w HIDs for 45 bucks from ddm, they throw light 1/2 a mile. The swap is real easy too.
