I'm a happy customer, but I'd be more happy if you can somehow locate a center ribbon cable for the SR5 HVAC display so I can have the background light in the center AC control knob again

I'm a happy customer as well, to be honest I think it's one of my most favorite changes made.
but it would be nice if I was sent the touch up paint i asked for to clean up the blue rpm line white specs that come through haha.

I just took it to my local dealership and showed it to him. I told him it should still be covered. He never took the VIN or anything and said he would check with Toyota. Heard back a week later and said Toyota would cover it.
Not sure how they new it was still covered since they never attained the VIN from me though. I did tell them it had always been serviced through Toyota since day one even before I bought it. I had only owned it for about a week when I took it in there. Maybe the service manager told Toyota I was a loyal customer?? IDK. I also thought it was odd they did not even get the VIN. All he knew was that it was an 08 with 80k and my statement that it "should" be covered.
If they would have checked this vehicle went into service in January of 09 so it would have been within the 5 years though.
I think overall I got lucky though.:guitar3:

Driving home, at dusk, wasn't even dark yet, and I had 7 different people flash me with their highbeams because I didn't have my headlights on. I guess they think that my DRL ambers mean that I'm unaware that my headlights are on? I started flipping them off after the 4th one, so freaking ignorant to highbeam me. I'm not an idiot, I get that lots of people are dumb and don't turn their headlights on, but you don't need to highbeam me. If my orange lights are on, obviously you can see me. Do you really have to blind me? I can see the road just fine, it's not even dark yet... This was literally in a 5 minute stretch from the highway to my house...

I have one but it's gonna be expensive man. They don't just appear out of nowhere.... Very hard to come by.
Shoulda just let me do it all so I wouldn't have to repair your board and replace hvac cables
Chill out. They were just being nice. A quick flash isn't enough to blind you. For all you know they were warning you of a posted cop down the road. Sounds like the ignorant one is you, not them. Attitudes like that are why there are road rage incidents where people die.

It wasn't even dark yet, and the sun wasn't down is my point, meaning, that it wasn't sunset yet. And they weren't quick flashes, they were blinding me with their highbeams for several seconds. Do 7 people really need to flash me in a row? How am I ignorant when I can still see the road and they can still see me?

Yep, I love when somebody decides to high beam me (not just a quick flash) for the soul purpose of being a dick. Hitting them with the light bar makes them realize the error in their ways very quickly.
They do in the South.
If you noticed, I didn't directly call you ignorant nor say you had road rage. Okay think of it this way, maybe these certain people weren't clear on what vehicle was approaching them and they were flashing to make sure. You never know what would be going through their mind. Sometimes its not always about what you can see fine and what they can. Perfect vision is few and far between bud. I admit, I used to drive around with just DRL's while it was raining and dark because I could see fine, or there were street lights. Would other people know why I would be doing this? Certainly not.
The only high horse here is from you for taking such offense to me telling you to calm down.

I still do, but apparently I shouldn't. I roll down my window and give a little finger wiggle too sometimes.
