What did you do with your 4runner today?

piccrazy30 remember you still have the stock upper control arms, caster will not be as good as before the lift. Caster wont hurt your tires or driving.

If the guy had an attitude he may have done a poor job on the alignment too.

If you got the lifetime alignment, I would take it and have it done again, maybe a different store. It is hard to find a tech that knows (or cares) about getting alignments correct on a lifted vehicle. The guy tat did ours at Chapel Hills was good, he did the FJ and 4Runner the same day.

It's firestone, definitely lazy techs.. I deal with it every time I go there and my alignment feels like poop. My caster is always at 1.5. I always try and tell the explicitly 3/0/0 but it NEVER is above 1.5. I live with it.

Should I leave it? It's been pulling to the right a little worse than when it was stock.

Since it was aligned yesterday I think it's kinda weird that in 24 hours some of the numbers are in the red and quite a bit different from the after numbers.

Desert Fox a new UCA would fix it?

Sorry for the duplicate my phone is slow

You are at about the best you can get with stock UCA's. Here is mine from with stock arms and about 4 inches lift.

Heres the before and after for today. How do these numbers look? They kept telling me since its lifted its going to be off and not at the factory spec's. And I kept telling them I want a print out with the numbers.

So so
Firestone will not touch most truck caster or camber after its not stock suspension
As mentioned they are lazy
As for your #'s they didn't even touch your factory caster or camber alignment cams
I hate firestone
Errrrr

yep. I'm thinking I might set my UCA's to +4 caster so their working range will be limited to the higher side, then just let them do camber and toe.

If it is pulling or not driving the way it should be, take it back to them and have them redo it.

A good aftermarket UCA will enable them to get the caster in spec. I had stock UCA on my 2003 and the caster was out but everything else was good and it drove fine.

My wifes FJ has Light Racing UCA and I have Total Chaos UCA. Both get good numbers on the alignments.

Keep your eyes out for someone selling a good aftermarket UCA if you want to change it out. They are not cheap new.

I would have them redo it and tell the manager that you want their best alignment tech to do it. You should be fine with the stock UCA.

LOL , The guy is really cool i actually only ordered 2 and he threw in a couple extra. They came in the same week

Same here! I ordered some mall rated and he threw in some "this sticker adds +5 hp" stickers and stuff. Really cool dude.

I sent in a request and got this in 4 hours

Very freakin cool!

Tonight we were able to knock out the Timing Belt and water pump. Then we swapped over the 4wd wiring harness from the bad motor. All went pretty good. Now it's time to get a couple hours of sleep and try to stab it in there tomorrow.

Here are pictures of the LED reverse lights I bought from Whitebeauty
Love how bright they are

doubt they will touch your cams.....
Pretty sure firestones have a company policy of not to touch the cams at all on a lifted truck
or at least here in the north east
there are exceptions....make friends with he guy, or as mr xxxx said he has a guy...but idk.....
If u ask me its bullshit.....all you are asking them to do is turn the stock freakin cams, as they would a new car from factory.....
Standard procedure is to just adjust toe and call it a day
forget about asking them to rotate a lr upper bj......

caster is not really a problem....
Its toe and camber that will eat your tires in a heart beat

this is why i make an hour drive and pay a guy in nnj to take care of me....
I have had this guy do numerous alignments he gets it to what #'s i ask for all the time.....
Well worth the ride and extra $$$.....
Although i do wish we had a guy around here that took pride in what he does......
Good luckto all

Programmed 2x Ebay transponder keys.
$19 for the keys.
$10 for getting them cut to the VIN
$0 for programming thanks to the internet.

No longer able to pull the key out in ACC and kill my battery, plus the keys now work in the doors/liftgate.

Which ebay vendor did you use?

I drove it to lunch and parked next to a horribly parked lifted Chevy. And ironic when the wife walked out with the husband she looked at my truck and start knocking on my bumper and ensuring it was solid metal?! And pointing it out to her husband with his little Chevy. its occasions like that which is why I love my truck

If it's showing in Red then that means it is out of spec. If it is showing in green then it is within the spec range for the vehicle.

I prefer my numbers on the higher end of the following, which would be the first number showing in each catagory.

Toyota spec Range listed below:

LF/RF Camber 0.6 to -0.9

LF/RF Caster 4.0 to 2.5

LF/RF Toe -0.04 to 0.13

Front Total Toe -0.08 to 0.25

Front Steer Ahead -0.5 to 0.05

Hope that helps,
