What did you do with your 4runner today?

Removed my front mudflaps and trimmed the front inner fenders, no more rubbing at full lock.
On the wife's runner, removed a heat shield that had fallen off above the muffler. For the life of me I can't understand why they made the heat shields out of pot metal that rusts away at the connection point. Time to get ss fender washers for all the nuts and spend a few hours removing and reinstalling all the heat shields...

Am I the only one who just pulls the heat shields and leaves them off?
Already dead, didnt even make it a week. Very disappointed, i really liked the key/ remote combo.
Planned obsolescence. Companies have been doing that for years to many products. It keeps you coming back to the counter to plunk down your hard earned cash.

Took care of the squeal in my engine bay
Removed it completely and it was in two pieces almost three....glad I got that taken care of before my 100k maintenance this week. Seems a little premature to me.

I see everyone saying they push their front fender liners forward and screw them in. Do you screw them in the factory screws you remove from it or do y'all grab some self tapping screws or what, and where do y'all insert the screws exactly? Same holes as original? I've never seen anyone give instructions of how to do this but I'm getting tired of the rubbing.

I don't post a lot but glad to show a pic of what I did this weekend. Second time I've done some off roaring with my runner and she preformed flawlessly, even in the softest sand. Sunrise on Padre Island National Seashore for a perfect cloudless day.

Beautiful! Reminds me of Assateague island up here in Maryland. I miss camping on the beach...
I've never been, but I'm originally from eastern PA so I know several people who have been. Nothing better than good beech camping.

I think reused the same hardware. I just drilled a few pilot holes and remounted the liner forward after I trimmed. It's really soft plastic.

when i did mine i only put one screw back in and its holding fine. i removed the others as i could not trim them well. the way i did it was pushed them as far forward in the little screw anchors or what ever you want to call them and then trimmed the fender liners more so that they would fit further into the screw anchor then used a punch and stabbed new holes and put the screw back in. if you want i can take pictures
