removed the intake tube on my v6 to see how it sounds. adds a nice low tone to the intake, dont know if im going to drive it like this much but for the next few days im keeping it off the truck

If the smallest thing flies up from the fender well your screwed! I wouldn't suggest that at all!! Put something on there for filtration!

Ahhhh! Whoops i see now! I'm used to 2 more cylinders!!!!

I ordered a roll of LEDs from Amazon and replaced my interior lights plus added a strip to the rear hatch. Right now the strip on the hatch is controlled by the rear dome light but I plan to add another switch for added control.


I also added a small switch to control my garage door opener. It's wired directly to the opener which I tucked in the headliner.

They are being replaced. I went straight from discount to the dealership and had them order new ones. Took the invoice back to discount and they were gonna give me cash, but I told them just to refund what I paid for the mount/balance/wheel locks back to my credit card and that would be good. So they did.

They took care of it in the end. Now I just have to wait for my new caps, and wheel locks since they had to be ordered too.

Spent the morning as discount tire. Got there before the opened and still waited almost 3 hours. Turns out they couldnt find the correct size allen wrench to take off the center caps. After they finally got one, they ended up torquing them too much and cracked 3/4 caps. Thankfully the manager took care of it and reimbursed me for the 3 caps.

Parked beside him, but not too close. Was disappointed he wasn't out there when I left so we could high five.

What led strip is that?

I used below lights in white and waterproof. I wouldn't trust the waterproofing completely as it's just clear silicon on top of the lights. I left it in place for the hatch. The strip can be cut into sections of three LEDs. I pulled my dome lights and added three sections for a total of nine LEDs. This isn't plug and play, I had to cut each section and solder, then solder to the dome light.

I decided to mount the light as low on the hatch as possible to assist with lighting. If you would like more light in the hatch when closed they need to be raised an inch or two. We have a trip planned in October with some primitive camping so I wanted to light the area around the Runner as much as possible.
If interested I can get some day shots of where the lights are mounted.

Just replaced the clamps on my cv boots with hose clamps. But was wondering how much grease to put back into the boots. Is it similar to a ball joint... fill until I see the boot start to expand.

Finally got to take her out to her natural habitat. Went easy as this was my first time out but she did great. Don't think the tire pressure sensors liked it though. The warning has been flashing since then. Going to top off tomorrow and reset it. This was out at Butcher Jones in AZ.
