What did you do with your 4runner today?

Just changed the oil out for the first time on my 4R since owning it (4 months). I figured the dealer would have changed the oil before selling it, but the oil was pretty dark. I switched out to Mobil 1 and will do it again in 3k miles to get the rest of the old stuff out. I forgot how easy the oil changes are on these VS. my LC80 and the 04 Tacoma. Took about 10 minutes.

Nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't have the little plastic arm any longer, it broke off a wile ago.

PS: Mine doesn't/didn't pop any codes, I just like the Fresh/New Look..

ha thats why i put the amp in there. Removing the subs is simple as disconnecting 4 wires and the box comes right out.

I think i'm gonna change up the logo. Probably something like this, but not sure if I wanna do it in etched again or pick a color like blue or grey.

RockAuto has them for $7. Plus $3 shipping though.
and I will NEVER go to the "Stealership" for anything! Pay ten times the price for the exact same part. It's funny, these companies make these things in bulk, sell them to all different littler companies who then stamp their own logo on them. You'd think people would catch on by now, but hey, I like paying cheaper!

Installed prothane rear sway bar bushings (what a difference!) Replaced the sloppy leaking cv clamps with the McMaster marine style, and installed my freshly cleaned up and painted factory skids. Also ordered calipers, pads, rotors, lines. Maybe I'll start a build thread instead of posting in here everyday lol.

Installed the Daystar lift last weekend 2.5/1.5, pretty happy with the look and ride until a full suspension lift.

Terrible photo but all I have right now.


Cleaned the MAF/throttle body and replaced spark plugs.
Nice and clean.

Put these under my back bumper. Kawell® Slim 18w Flood Beam LED Work Light ATV 4X4 Off Road Light 1800 Lumen 6500K 90 Degree Waterproof Light. They are only $16 on Amazon. Very well built. Solid mount. Mounted them to the bottom of the hitch using self-tapping 1/4" bolts. These are very bright. Exactly what I was looking for. Tapped into the reverse light output on the trailer wiring connector. My dogs even like them.

For starting my build at 16 with limited funds, I think I did pretty well.
