What did you do with your 4runner today?

Got my Clazzio's installed....after nearly 6 years with torn leather, it's long overdue. This pic is right after I finished putting them on, wrinkles should work out with time.

Well, after picking up my headlights from Toyota, shipped them to get retrofitted. (not sure why they look weird in this picture). Anyway, yeeeee hawwwwwww

nothing special: bixenon TLs (modded for better performance).

Thanks! I agree, I'm very impressed with the quality and fitment. I wanted to do replacement leather, but for twice the cost and a more difficult install, just doesn't seem worth it to me. I had great service from TRD Sparks, had the covers within a week.

Sorry, I would have replied earlier but I just now saw this. I would deff do the BJ's first while the lower control arm is still on the truck and then take it off to do the bushings after. Good luck my man and thanks

Ok great good to know, I was just on T120 last night looking at both your write ups for the BJ replacement and the poly bushings replacement. I'm going to look around in advance and see what kits i have available to me. Hopefully between Advanced auto,Pep boys, Napa and my buddy's shop i'll find the right one. Thanks for the heads up about the zerks fitting i also read that in another thread about having it properly positioned in the right direction so it's easily accessible..

Just replaced my alternator on my V8 last week. 145,000 miles.
Not sure if you have more room on the V6, but for me, I had to:
Remove Cooling fan and shroud - may have to take off the 1st skid plate to release hose clamp connections from the lower passenger side of the shroud
Remove Air Box and inlet pipe to throttle body
Remove/set aside power steering pump
Remove/replace alternator.

I got a rebuilt Denso unit from partsgeek - took just over a week to arrive, and had the best price I could find.

Wired in an 800w inverter to the back of the rear passenger seat. Back panel pops right off then put four bolts through it. Wired w/ a relay so it's only powered w/ ignition turned on so I don't forget to turn it of and drain battery.



Ran ground through carpet to keep things tidy

It wasn't bad at all. It took me 4 hours start to finish, but I was doing other stuff during this time as well. Probably 2 hours working solely on the covers. I did pull out the seats, made it much easier than trying to install with them in the 4runner.

Yes, that is a single 12" Hertz sub.

damn I think I'm in the same situation. About how long did it take you? did you figure it out as you went along or did you have instructions to go by?

Finally got my tires installed (cooper at3 265/70/17), daystar leveling kit and spydertrax spacers all around. the car looks great but the suspension feels pretty soft now and the front rubs when i turn sharp... looks like i'll have to order the 5100s sometime in the near future.

looks great w/ the radio! now if only he had done the airbag lights...now get those steering wheel controls done!

i actually like the dimmer info screen, seems less distracting when driving. I do not understand why some want it brighter. or maybe its because i did mine red and it matches perfectly to my SCII and odo brightness.

I just followed it step by step. It took me about 4 hours total, max. Make sure you disconnect the battery before trying to take the power wire off of the alternator.

Yours may be easier with the V6, as well.
