What did you do with your 4runner today?

CEL and vsc kept coming on. Checked gas cap, disconnect battery etc. Very rough idle. Found that cyl 6 has issues and the fuel injector dumps fuel in and fills it up. Need to replace the injector apparently. 176k...hope there aren't any more hiccups.

Changed rear diff fluid today.. Way to easy for anyone that plans to get it done, .. do it yourself.. Oil changes are harder. Kinda messy with the mobile 1 bottles just cut the tops and squeeze it in.

Original fluid looked normal, drain plug had no visual signs of shavings or wear. Everything came out and went back no issues with rust.

Josh is great at RCI...I have the everything he has in 3/16 steel since I like big rocks!! Do you have the Fumoto drain valve? Theres enough room to reach in and flip it over so theres no mess.

2. restore my headlights, or swap to the 07's I have in the garage
3. paint lower bumper center to white
4. Black out fogs
5. hmm, maybe even go back to stock grill instead of the Hilux Frankenstein (bet I get PM's on that comment)

I am almost done installing my system. Running 6.5 MB quart all around and 8" sub. with 5 channel MB quart amp. Sounds decent needs a bit more tuning.

Also recommend RCI aluminum, I too take on BIG boulders and mine has handle them quite well for Alum. For what you do, they would be great and you could leave it bear or color match.

Which is fine cause I want to paint them black. What do you guys use to seal them? I just pushed them back together the first time I took them apart.

you can probably use any silicone sealant or something like RTV, which is actually a silicone sealant in itself. I'm sure somebody else has a better suggestion though

[MENTION=12797]JeffM[/MENTION]er I do a yearly/spring time underbody cleanup, hose it off real good, roll around on the creeper, light wire brush any rust and hit it with 2 to 3 cans of either underbody or some heavy duty black spray paint on any vulnerable spots. it keeps it clean, protected and looking good. But honestly, its one of the cleanest northeast driven 4runner i've seen underneath which is one of the reasons I bought it.
