Our son is stationed in Norfolk. He is in the Navy. Going to pick him up and spend the day. Wednesday, we'll be heading to Myrtle Beach.

Yep my rear plate is secured with plastic bolts coated in anti-seize just in case.
Replaced my front pads, rotors and calipers. 3 out of the 8 pistons were frozen. Both drivers inner pistols were frozen and the passenger lower inner piston was frozen. What a difference it makes to have new calipers. Before, I was getting what some would relate to almost a jeep death wobble feeling when braking at highway speeds. I went with the centric remans as well as they pads and rotors. Everything seems to be very high quality and I'm really happy with the performance.
Only real issue with getting the calipers off was the lines were rusted in place. A lot of hammering on the caliper, pb blaster, and channel locks fixed that real quick.. Although now both lines need to be replaced

I owned 3 crxs and still have a eg hatch. I just want to restore to stock. I originally got the t4r to pick up parts and tow it.

It seems that the sound deadening I did on the rear floors and under the seats help tame down the drone from the muffler by couple of db's. Hopefully it's an improvement if I have people in the rear seats.

Last night I installed a new radio. I went with the 2014 Scion pioneer radio. I love it, it has a nice clean factory look, Bluetooth and touch screen. The install only took about 30mins even with routing and mounting the Bluetooth mic.

I currently mounted the mic behind the steering wheel on the steering column cover. I have only made on phone call so far and they said they could hear me fine. I haven't decided if I am going to keep it there or not. I have thought about running it up the A pillar and mounting it by the visor. I am going to test out a few locations and I'll post my feedback.

I think you will pick up quite a bit of wind noise putting it by that side, i have mine next to the map light and it seems to work very well there. JMHO

For the radio, all harness and adapters around $300. It's pretty much brand new the production date says November 2014.

I bought mine off eBay but he was local so I just went and picked it up instead of paying for the shipping and my friend works for Toyota and got me the harness at cost. I had found a couple on Craigslist before but they normally ask around $300 just for the radios. You can also add navigation if you would like but the module is really expensive.
Yes the steering wheel controls still work. There is a whole thread about doing this swap. You can search the forum for Scion radio and it will come up.
