What did you do with your 4runner today?

Thanks to [MENTION=115003]Be_Original[/MENTION] I finally replaced two of my cladding pieces that had a bad gash across them. Luckily i have a buddy at a body shop that was willing to help out. Since he had done it a thousand time it only took him 10 minutes.
The new panels were in much better shape, as far as scratches but they were a little dry. You can see the tiger striping that shows up on some older cladding pieces.
This was after i applies some Shine Supply Trim Shine. When the weather cooperates i am going to do a full detail and use some of their new Trim Shield which is a longer lasting trim treatment.

3,727.4 miles and I am home. The runner did great through the hills of Arkansas and Tennessee, the back roads of North Carolina and Virginia, the highways of Georgia and Alabama, and the Streets of New Orleans. Only had this 03 runner since February of this year, and I am very happy with the purchase so far. Great for my beach trips, and road running.

The engine is more responsive and can breathe better, the HCF is really restrictive. I've noticed that with the combination of the K&N and removing the HCF the throttle response is far better.

Ive done this except with a drop in pro dry S filter and I too can agree, throttle response is much improved. for more effect, change all your spark plugs if you haven't already done so. The entire job takes about 15 min and the combination really helps.

Not really. Been working too much to do anything. Plastidip red on the badges and wheels. I'm getting the money together for headers and custom exhaust, no cats, right now. Arguing with sky manufacturing in whether a SAS kit is worth the R&D for them, lol, and putting thought into total Chaos long travel, metal tech stage 5 long travel combo. I also need rims with the correct offset so I can get rid of the spacer adaptors. So, if I had $10K...
Headers/exhaust first, rims second, then suspension.

was at the toyota dealer to pickup some touchup paint for the corolla before correcting the paint this weekend
and
laid out in the parts showroom were a dozen replacement frames for Tacomas year 06-10 (the parts/service guys said there was a recall so they're starting to trickle in for replacement... To which I asked... well how about the 4Runner frame, his response "There are no issues with 4th gen 4Runner frames"... to which I said, "yeah right... don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining!" haha.
I'm a toyota loyalist but I'm not a cheerleader, the 4th gen 4runner frames rot like all the others...

Haha thats funny! Yeah I wish we would get the recalls for the driveshaft like Lexus, and the frames like the tacoma.

That's cause you live in norcal.... annual exposure to winter road chemicals has a lot to do with frame/ undercarriage rot of all vehicles, toyota included. I'm guessing you don't have to worry about this in the Sacramento area
