What did you do with your 4runner today?

Thanx brotha,
I was just about to order replacement parts tonight... bushing and ball joints to rebuild mine.
But now I'm just gonna go this route and dont have to stress rebuilding mine for now. Slowly do it down the road to have some fresh ones on the shelf for when I need them.

Same. I'm slowly becoming a parts hoarder. I have my stock UCAs as a just in case scenario. My CVs are greasy, but not bad. I plan on replacing them after the LCAs just so I have trail spares that are in good enough shape to get me home. I need to do belts soon and I'll keep the ones that are on for trail spares.

Like I posted in that thread to you,
Now that you have discovered even though you got those codes does not mean that is your problem and 9 times out of 10 never is especially the codes your talking about giving you a cell. Now that you have (waisted time and money) replaced all 3 sensors and I guess needed to learn the hard way, go back to the basics of what to look at when your having starting issues!!!
That is why I didn't talk about your codes directly, when I asked you have you done these basic things first,
Your saying eventually will start...
Basic things to look at that set those codes off are once again MAF...bad,broken,dirty
Spark plugs...having a misfire,running lean
Hose's...cracked sucking in air, not on all the way, hole(leak), vaccum
Timing Belt...bad, loose pulley

There is something else that is setting them off...

And honestly if you used aftermarket sensors that is just gonna give you more grief 95% of the time...These vehicles are very OEM sensor snobs that is one thing I do not go aftermarket with and most usually learn the hard way and will agree.

That's keak. He was banned from here, not sure why. He has 40" mtr's, 6" drop bracket lift, TWO 1.5" body lifts stacked and enough accessories to make me jealous as a chipmunk looking at a nut factory! He wheels the shit out of that thing too! I follow him on Instagram. Lol

Tbh, I kind of like keak's truck. Little gaudy on the lights for me, but I love the way it looks over all. To much tire for stock ifs components too, but it's his and he's not scared to try.

Oh yeah each his own I love it would I do it to mine no one couldn't afford it and not kid seat friendly lol. I'm getting ready to have to locate one with third row seating if that tells you how my Catholic life is going[emoji12][emoji869]I traded my FJ for my current 4Runner when second kid was born cause my knees where in dash with rear facing car seat now I get him old enough and in a forward facing seat start prowling for a FJ and get the oh better hold off on that [emoji848]

If still rather have a 4runner over an FJ. More capable, less aftermarket though. We bought a mazda cx-9 for this route seating. Lol

Yeah once you go 4Runner it's hard to go back ! My FJ was a blast
rear locker/atrac all the goodies etc.. But momma has all that in the 11 TE she's on her third 4Runner broke her in from a taco to a 3rd gen sport then a 08 sr5 then the 11 brand new with nav kdss etc... She's hooked for life well as long as they keep making them I won't have to talk her into one. We about got the 11 paid off just turned 90k on it first one I ever bought brand new every maintenance record all done at our local dealer I'm keeping her till the wheels fall off!!!!!

I looked at a 14 4Runner and still felt no desire to get rid of my 03.
I don't like the high up door controls, don't like the look of the steering wheel with the fake plastically look and I don't like the V6 only thing.

At the end of the day we are all 4Rnr fans. It's just a matter of flavour.

Three reasons I bought my 4runner.

1. I wanted 4wd
2. I needed a better kid carrier than my 06 Access Cab Taco
3. I've wanted a 4runner since I was 18

I almost picked up a 2010, but I would have needed to trade in the Tacoma, and I'm just not quite ready to part with that truck. First vehicle I bought straight up brand new (had 12 miles on it when I took it) and I can't lie, it's just nice to have a bed sometimes. Also, I love my truck even though she doesn't get driven as often anymore.

I missed my bed this past weekend when I took the 4runner camping for the first time. Roof rack is on my list of things just to carry firewood if nothing else. I'm still sweeping chunks of bark out of my cargo area and even though I kept it to a pretty slim camping trip, I ran out of room quick.

I wonder if other people are like us lol like you said I love my truck I love my 4Runner and my FJ and the 10 other tacos I've had since I was 16 each one held a special place for me but this 11 was first one ever bought new I've busted my knuckles on her changing oil/diff fluids/plugs& belt rotating her tires etc.... She's mine till she won't run no more
