Those boots are mainly personal preference. You don't need them and I personally like the look of the boot off. I've never ran those boots.
Either way, nice pickup and solution!

I would recommend going over to Tacomaworld and looking up Csjumper2003. He makes LEDs and sells them pretty cheap. He was highly recommended and when I looked at his stuff it looked great. He has plenty of pictures and videos. Just placed a big order with him. Customer service was great too.

Just replaced the OEM incandescent turn signal bulbs (7440) in the rears with these "smart" LED's http://www.toyota-4runner.org/inertia-led/211467-toyota-4runner-coupon-code.html . No hyper-flashing, no resistors required. Its fantastic!! Pure plug and play! :thumb: :thumb:
First video below shows the OEM bulb on the right hand side and the InertiaLED on the left. As you can see, the LED is much, much brighter and there is no hyper-flashing (I verified this by just turning on the left hand indicator only as you can see in my next post with the next two videos).

Finally finished up my switches tonight.
CH 4x4 switch for the light bar, the amber color is a little off from OEM but it works, fits, and looks great.
Light bar flush mount brackets from [MENTION=93512]MojaveMadMan[/MENTION] are an awesome product. The quality of these things is ridiculous for the price and more than worth it. Well thought out design and just beautiful to look at. Sad to hear he's stopping production for now but family is more important.
I painted over the USB port cover since it was gloss black and also threw a few coats of night shades on the little blue LED's in there cause those suckers were bright. Now I see no blue light and I'm not really complaining. Special thanks to [MENTION=114846]Bluesky 07[/MENTION] for the dust plugs.
And finally the "ABS off" switch from Air on board. It's a normally open switch so I had to wire it to a relay to convert it to normally closed, no big deal. Then the amber color is different from the OEM switches, meh I can live with that. The icons and words on the face of the switch have weird raised ridges like they were roughly 3D printed? Light shining around the sides because it's not wide enough for the dash switch hole? And then finally it has a dim light on when the key switch power is on, and goes to full retard bright when the headlights are on, doesn't dim. I don't think I have it hooked up wrong but I'll revisit before I swap it out with the cheaper and better looking CH 4x4 switch.

Once again, amazing job. Music had me zoned out like everything was flying by made me feel as though I was driving.Are you just using one of the GoPro sticky mounts on the top of your bumper in front of your grill?
Pretty nice trail you came across over there by Jericho. I'm headed up there this Sunday With [MENTION=60694]TheSentinel[/MENTION] after a lil mod session at my place then head up Berdoo and go goof around on a few of those back trails and loop back down or around and out desert center or shoot out Long Canyon Rd that's in between the two which I haven't done yet and that shoots you out at love truck stop.

Haha, yeah the music was because we were listening to a lot of Tool at the camp site and that song in particular is about alien abduction which I thought went well with being out in the desert. Every video I've done thus far has been on the sticky mount in the middle of my bumper, except my rancheria road one that was on my dash. Next time out I'm going to try my slider for a section or two.
I really want to run berdoo, but Sunday's are a no go and the freeways in that direction are screwed this weekend due to the 91 shutting down.

I put 4 coats of primer and two coats of textured paint on mine over 48 hours before mounting them. Probably only 5 or 6 hours total. They've held up well except where the rear passenger door is rubbing because I mounted it too high.

Well, I took my baby to the dealer for a state inspection and for them to look at the "shuddering" the tranny is going. It threw a code couple of weeks ago, so hopefully I don't get bent over for this.

I followed almost the same steps as my wheels. 2 coats self etching primer, 2-3 satin black, then some clear. I'm a bit of a directions-nazi on rattle-can paint (mostly because I'm not an expert by any stretch of imagination, and that's all I have to go on) so some of the dry times called for were 48 hours and I followed that. The only difference this time was in the prep, did some extra things to help with the crap that built up on the bare steel while it sat for too long in the garage.

Yeah. Mine came in on a Tuesday, and I had a run on Saturday which I was leaving for on Friday so I only had a couple days to get the paint on and dry enough to mount. Plus I figured since they were sliders, I wasn't too concerned with how they turned out since they were bound to get touched up on occasion.
