What did you do with your 4runner today?

Yea, JL bass knob, RBC-1, for my 500/1 (version 1), came out pretty clean. I just drilled a button blank and used needle nose pillars to clean up the plastic pieces on the back of the false button.

Ah! I looked that one up, I see how you can do it now. My button, is larger and more difficult. I will dig into this and see what I may be able to do.

I guess Toyota slowly fixes complaints/problems. I noticed the 5th gens have manual shifter for 4wd engagement versus the electronic knob in the 4th gens..where the 4lo actuator gets stuck if not exercised periodically. I wish my runner had a manual 4wd shifter

Hmm interesting. My vsc turns off when I lock the diff but not traction control. Makes no sense so going through mud the wheels stop spinning once the computer notices. I got stuck because of this. I found a way to turn everything off by unplugging a connection near the brake fluid reservoir.

In the instance of mud, why not just lock the center diff?

I got some LED and HID goodies from Amazon. These are my first upgrades on my new to me 06' 4Runner Limited :clap2:

I purchased a 6000K Innovited HID Kit for low beam and Optilux XY Series fog light bulbs. I also got entire white LEDs for interior along with turn signal, backup lights and step well lights. . Very happy with everthing exept 6000K HID bulbs. Im going to order some 5000K.

Think I ran over glass or something. These tire walls are pitiful! A paper cut in the sidewall and the whole thing needs to be replaced now [emoji36] will definitely be upgrading to something more 'meatier' once these have their run

Yes but traction control is still on. It only disables VSC. Not VSC trac

^^^ What paint color is that? I'm guessing there's some instagram filter action going on there...

Toyota's Pacific Blue Metallic ..stock color and I don't do social media so no Instagram no filter no magic ...I just hit that auto adjust button on my iPads camera which I guess is a basic filter in essence.

Haha I actually didn't build it. I have a friend does the work for me. Sliders cost me $400 CAD and the bumper was $800 CAD

20 gallons of gas, replaced tail lights with '06 style lights. Removed skid plate because dealer returned it to me with only one bolt in it

Any easy way to restore the painted area under the taillights w/out painting the entire bumper?

What are you running now?

Goodyear wrangler duratrac 2.0 265/60/r18 so 31" and a lot thinner than the Nitto mud grapplers I used to run at 33" 275/70/r18 I believe.

I'm bad at the measurements but they were way too heavy. I shift and drive a lot better on these duratrac's, but my only thing is, I've gone through an entire set and haven't had them for 4 months yet. Popped just about every tire so they all are patched somewhere, and this one suffered a TINY paper cut abrasion near the side wall which is landing me to have it replaced, free under warranty.. But I mean c'mon. It would take a bullet to damage my last set. I need something thicker.. Perhaps these in 33's
