What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finally got all unpacked from the weekend of camping with my buddies and edited some photos. Had an absolute blast and time after time my 4Runner impresses me (and my friends :naughty: ) with how capable it is. Gonna start working on a video soon, but in the meantime, here are a few pics!

Haha One swap a week is enough for me! :hiding: JK but if you were closer i would of been happy to lend a hand! We actually had it a little bit 'easier' because i had everything re built from ECGS so we just pulled out the old and installed the new. Still took use the entire day including about a hour lunch brake and a trip to the store.



Are you re building both your front and rear on your own? That's a little bit of a bigger job! Are you doing a ARB in the rear as well? I wanted to do a ARB originally but i grabbed up my buddies old FJ housing and got a good deal on the FJ 3rd with Elocker so couldn't pass it up and just sent everything to ECGS to be re geared and re built.

Well, it started out with plans to just do the e-locker retrofit, but then found that the locker didn't have the gearing I thought it did. Needed new gears anyways. So in looking to order new gears I learned that I would have to buy a new carrier for the front to accommodate the bigger gears. Figured that since I needed a new carrier anyways I might as well go ahead and install the locker since it would be apart.
I'll be doing the majority of the work, but one of the guys in our club is a master tech and will be setting up the gears. I will be doing it in the garage so I'll be able to take a little more time doing it. Should be able to do it all in a week between work and baby and all the other stuff I've got to get done.

Ft McAllister, Savage Island, St Catherines-almost

Over the weekend we took the T4R camping at Savage Island.

We headed out to St. Catherine's Island but almost capsized (sorry no pics, waves were insane) before we could get there and had to head back. A quick stop on the way back and ended up beached by a set of monster waves. Finally got her ass back in the water and headed back. Dropped the ladies off at the sandbar (probably 150' across) to go grab some supplies. About 30 minutes later we got back and the sandbar was about 30' across and the wives were freaking out, so we called it a day.

Mother Nature's a mother sometimes.

*Spotted a sweet early Bronco at the restaurant/marina.

I haven't really had the chance to take a pic since I got my new tires and this still isn't a real good one but it's better than nothing. Excuse the hazy headlights I'll fix those this summer.

Tires are awesome. Super quiet and smooth. Gas mileage went up a tad too...not sure why but not complaining. Averaged 17.5 last tank

Also ordered two new cv axles, and will be rebuilding my two oem ones to have in the future

Also ordered some new brake pads

Started on getting my Bilsteins in but 11 years old salty bolts stopped me. Couldnt get the ball joint bolts off to save my life (no compressor method) ah well...Its to the shop tommorow...at least I'll save 20 unaligned miles on my tires.

Got my fenders fitted and primed. I live in SoCal and refuse to rock white fenders. But got a new grill and started bumper build for next weekend.
