Fluids: Both Diffs, Xfer case, Transmission (Drain & refill method - 4 quarts). I could have done it myself, but it's cycling season! The shop tried to get me to change my oil and rear brakes. No thanks, the oil only has 3K miles on it and the brakes are the easiest thing in the world.

I picked up this beauty, this afternoon. My fourth Toyota, but first 4Runner. She has 198k on her. Just enough break-in mileage.

Just installed 2" wheel spacers on this afternoon. Yes, there is wobble. Yes, I used threadlocker. No, I do not have an alignment yet. still looks much better now.

05' V-6 w/115k miles and she finally got her plugs changed for the first time. Suprisingly, they all came out easy. While I was in there I also cleaned the TB for the first time. Being on a small island where the max speed limit is 45 and most people never go that fast she had a lot of build up. Used an entire can it's still not clean. She runs so smooth now. Hardest part was trying to figure out what air line I forgot to reconnect after. I was a bit nervous when I first fired her back up and she ran horrible.

That is the funkiest looking Cv grease Ive ever seen....might want to check the seals, might be some gear oil mixed in.

Mine was that color too when I just replaced my cv boots. They were not torn at all just one side started to leak thru the clamp. I was living my 4r so I figured I should reboot 210k mile old boots.

what hardware? the calipers come with everything basically and I just wire wheeled the bolts that hold the calipers on the truck and anti seized the hell out of them. otherwise its pretty much a direct swap.

You get new rotors to and did you go OEM is what I meant sorry.

and full brake fluid flush now.



Just took it for a ride afterwards.. The brakes have never felt this good since owning it.. Everyone with a 4th gen should do this upgrade
