Thanks I'll try both those. I was going to plasti-dip black but kinda dig the way it looks now. I have heard nothing but great things about Shine Supply products I actually still didn't get the cut I wanted to remove all the scratched but I think my harbor freight DA is not really doing what I want either. If I get the cut dialed in and scratches done I'm going CQuartz UK (can use it on the wife's Volvo too).

I was well out of the warranty period and I asked them to send me new shafts. It's $55 a shaft and I ordered two. They are different now than what I have as in they are an improved design/material. They are Nitro Steel shafts now instead of chrome.
If I would have sent the coilovers in for rebuild they would come with a 1 year warranty but I actually want to do the rebuild myself. I've got everything I need to do them once I get the new shafts which will be here this week.
Finally got my new radio put in, a cheap touchscreen one that works till I buy a good one in a few months. Also started to move my amp into the cargo area vs the backseat. Went to walmart and bought another 10 inch sub and now waiting on my dual 10 box to come on Saturday, Amazon Prime is a dandy
Bummer. Had similar experience. Afraid to and no idea how to rebuild shocks though

Fixed the annoying rattle coming from under the car.
2 bolts that hold the cat heat shield had rusted through as well as the clamp that holds the aft end of the heat shield to the exhaust pipe.
Mine did the exact same thing, I just put a new bolt in there, but mine wasn't as bad as yours.

When I bought the 4runner, the previous owner warned me that there were some "stuck and broken bolts".
He wasn't kidding.
This was the very last one!
I've been drilling on this broken off skid plate bolt for years!
I got a cobalt drill bit stuck in there the first day I tried getting it out (my impatience cost me). Got some cheap left handed bits and would hit it for a half hour here, and an hour there.
When I got impatient again, I'd stop.
I finally drilled around the old cobalt bit (like 4 holes ), and used a tiny punch to push it out today. Once the bit was gone, the lefty drill bits worked like they should, and I finally beat this sucker!
The old threads were untouched. :becky:
Now to go research which stainless bolts to get, so I can put the skids back on!

I put a new bolt in each side. I haven't replaced the clamp yet. Ill probably go see what my local autoparts store has. Maybe a big hose clamp...
