We don't have a build thread for either of our T4R's. I haven't had time! The 4th gen has slowly changed into a trail/overland truck that I drive to work every day because it's too cool not to drive to work everyday! (Sometimes I take the trails to work!)
Our 3rd gen has a stock engine but the rest of it has had serious surgery- gutted interior with only two seats and racing harnesses. Fuel cell in the back. Rear lift gate removed. Front and rear lockers with 4.88 gears, etc, etc. Our 3rd gen is a screaming machine in the mud. 
The fishing is great! Lots of small and large mouth bass. I feel very blessed to live on the lake. And so does my truck. Hehehe.

Hit Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday as well as Switzerland Trail (no pics unfortunately). Got to do some rock climbing on the offshoots of Switzerland Trail which was awesome. Had the truck for almost a month now, absolutely love it.

If you're considering a car payment, may as well not get a 5th gen and up it to a LC or something worth having a payment for...the 5th Gens will make you regret your car-payment-decision after owning a 4th gen...just saying
I have no need for a Land Cruiser or any vehicle that big. I don't off-road my runner much it's really just a daily driver. I'd like to have something newer with more amenities. Still can't decide if it's worth another 5 years of payments...

went down to telluride for the weekend to see pretty lights. we hit last dollar road and drove up to the top of bridal veil falls which is also the very end of black bear pass right before it turns into 1 way only.

Got alignment done after installing the Toytec Boss kit front and rear (kept OEM UCA's). Got rid of the 'floaty' feel and centered the steering wheel.
My understanding is it's the caster being off that gives the floaty feel, correct? Well, they didn't get the caster in specs (1.9 degrees, specified range 2.5 - 4.0 degrees). Drives nice, though.
The Boss fronts are preassembled and supposedly set to 2.5" lift. I left them there and got 3.25" lift at all four corners. I drove it 100 miles before the alignment and there was no change in the height.
My understanding is that my slightly out of spec caster will not cause tire wear, correct?

3.25" you should proble get some UCAs...but whats important is that the caster is equal on both sides. As long as both sides match you should be fine.

Two things; Installed and uninstalled a spidertraxx 1.25" spacers on all 4 corners, took em off after I found I was rubbing badly on the front body mounts, both sides. Not sure why, with my lift and tire size combo, perhaps the TRD Pro rims don't have the right backspacing.
Second thing, wish I took a pic of this, but my front passenger side blinker was out, and when I pulled the bulb, the filament was fine but the base (glass separated from the metal ring at the bottom) was filled with burnt debris, whatever was inside there completely disintegrated. Anyone know what's up with that?

Always depends on your offset, lift and tires. Trim and they'll fit.
I had that issue with my bulb sockets. They were getting wet from my big ass tires throwing Shit on them and burning up. Any condensation in there?

I'm not too keen on cutting up the frame just to get that extra 2.5" of track width, anyone want a set of (4) installed only spacers?
As for the sockets, it's been pretty dry here in San Diego since I've owned the truck, but it was an AZ vehicle before I picked it up. Might have a few seasons of monsoons under its belt that could be the cause.
Bmc is about the most basic part of the 4runner/fj cruiser/GX470/Tacoma platforms. It's not part of the frame, it is a bracket welded to the frame and you are only cutting the end that has zero structural support. It's simple, quick, and won't hurt a thing.
As for the lights, I dunno. Maybe they just went bad and shorted out creating a ton of heat. Crazy without water though. Change them and see if it happens again.
