What did you do with your 4runner today?

After. This was using meguiars #2 fine cut cleaner after wet sanding. All by hand, machine would have been nice. Also did the headlights and fogs.

Today I adjusted my ride height on my newly installed CO's that I put on yesterday. May build my rear sway bar links today as well.

New upper balljoints warrantied from spc as well as new inner and outer tie rods. Old ones were totally trashed! Drivers side was so loose it was scary... Alignment tomorrow.

When all said and done I will. Had a change in plan on how to mount the lower tubing to the motor cross member. I want to be capable of unbolting it for powder coating.

Wet sanded with 1000, 2000, meguiars, Polish, wax. The meguiars is a diminishing compound so it starts as a fine cutting compound the turns into a rouge polish.

Did you put on any clear coat after the sanding/polishing?

No clear on hood or lights. I plan on doing it with a rotary eventually, the headlights will haze back over but meguiars makes easy work of it.

Did this switch panel. Didn't come out exactly as I thought. Might use a different switch later. Works well for now. I still need to label, hide wires, and touch up just a little.

New tie rods (had to cut both of them to get the old boots off), rear sway bar links and bushings (links snapped in half, ball joint studs had to be cut). Good thing for the angle grinder!

No more clunks from the front or squeaking from the back! Whole truck runs noticeable tighter. Got the "sport" back in sport edition. Sorta.

Interesting day so far.... Stupid alignment shop tried telling me they could only get 1.1* of caster and everything was in spec. I called bullshit, especially since I have the balljoints set at the 4* setting already! Left there and am now struggling to find a shop with an opening...
Guy said it's in spec, yet it pulls all over the road, pulls to the right when hitting the gas, to the left when hitting brakes, and is visually toe'd out.... Wtf man.

Good luck with that! Had a similar situation with both my Sequoia and my hubby's Tundra. After several tries elsewhere we ended up having the dealer do both. It was quite a headache. Hope you get it straightened out.
