I drove from Phoenix to Flagstaff and on my way this guy came up beside me giving me a thumbs up.

Due to a sponsor vehicle not showing up (last minute) my 4Runner found itself in a Christmas parade last night lol. I wasn't driving it as I was helping with other aspects of the parade but apparently the kids in the car loved it.

Oil change, lube job today. Much needed greasing on the driveline. Also did the tpms bypass, wow that was super easy.

I need to do the TPMS bypass myself. I have an '07 and read somewhere it is a little different than the earlier years, any advice?

Tpms bypass

I need to do the TPMS bypass myself. I have an '07 and read somewhere it is a little different than the earlier years, any advice?

HI Sunpilot, I just used the search engine on this forum. Just search tpms bypass and it will come up. It's a little bit of a read, but I do believe it's there. I did the jumper method. A lot of guys used scotchlok splice connectors. I believe with my 05 it was pink/black white/black jumped out. Sorry for not being much help. Good luck

finally installed the $40 bluetooth deck from black friday.

worth every penny, and i already don't miss CDs. This took me about an hour with most of the time being connecting the wiring harness to the metra I bought from amazon.

also, does anyone know if the letters around the stick shift light up? mine definitely aren't, but i honestly don't remember. I also know that I had one working light in my AC controls before i started this, now I have zero, time to order some replacements.

so i figured out it wasn't any of the bulbs, it was because I grounded the pioneer harness to the ground of the metra harness that went into the stock factory connector, it blew the 10amp Tail light fuse.

by snipping that ground to ground, replacing the fuse, and grounding the pioneer harness to bare metal all was fixed.


I previously had two bulbs that were bad so replacing them wasnt a big deal.

weird issue now tho. one of the bulbs in the HVAC won't work, i swapped center and left so I know it's not the cluster, it's a single bulb setup.

I replaced that bulb with a few other 12v micro amps from radio shack and it won't work still. any ideas?

The others i replaced with those 12v micros work fine.

Powered the travel trailer the last two nights with the 600W inverter I installed on the Runner. The batteries failed on the trailer and it's 40 degrees F overnight. I could have jumped the Runner battery to the trailer battery, but why? I can more easily plug the inverter directly into the trailer AC plug and use both DC AND AC inside the trailer.

12VDC furnace on? Check
12VDC water pump on? Check
12VDC toilet pump on? Check
12VDC LED's on? Check
115VAC pure sine wave? Check

I never go anywhere without at least a 400W PSW inverter on my trucks, they come in sooooooo handy. A PSW is cheap, easy to install, and come in so handy.

Couldn't run the generator overnight in a quiet zone, and frankly I don't give a damn if anybody complains about me starting up the 4Runner to keep the furnace running.

Just one step closer to having perfect camber. I found a deal on these on eBay through Street rays, almost $100 off the original price. And it's the real deal, these things feel solid

Now all I'm waiting on are my new swaybar links and bushings

Broken Arrow Trail

Today I went to Sedona to do Broken Arrow Trail. It is definitely my favorite off-road trial I have done.

Maaaaaan I went out there with family a few years ago and we got to do like .75 miles of one of the trails around Sedona before we ran out of daylight. Too busy the rest of the week to try again. I want to make a road trip back with my own vehicle but it's soooo far from East Coast lol. I seriously fell in love with the different kind of scenery and obstacles the trails have, we did get to make it to the Devil's Bridge which was pretty cool.

I got my front 5100s installed. Put them on the 3rd perch and it looks leveled. Didn't get a chance to do the rears, but now I'm worried that when I do, it won't be leveled like it is right now without them. Any ideas?

Your rear 5100 shocks won't change anything in height. No worries

Yesterday, i put on a Toytec boss lift with HD rears, and Total Chaos upper control arms. Wrapped some 285/70/17 KO2s on the gunmetal TRD wheels.
Hoping the rear settles a bit, but I'll probably adjust the fronts up a bit. Extremely happy with how this came out and it rides great
