Update: got the rear shocks off but now the bushings are lodged in. See picture. Took a pry bar to it and it's real stuck. Also, the xreas shocks bolts are different than the Bilstein's, any one else have this issue?

Started moving parts and bits from the totaled 09, to the new '07. She's growing on me....decided to splurge on a new stereo system.. Tired of cd's, going to a usb, and aux system. Going to reinstall my sirius tomorrow if it warms up.

Took a look underneath my truck today and now thinking I need to clean about 100 pounds of dried mud off my frame. Sure wish mud could be a protectant undercoat! ��

Lawn sprinkler underneath the truck worked for me. I used a rotating sprinkler and moved it around periodically. That softened the mud enough a powerwash at the local carwash could get the last vestiges out that wasn't on my driveway.

Also paid a pro detailer $120 today to clean the interior. After three months in AZ on dirt roads there was so much dust in every crevice I was happy to pay a pro to clean it.

The sprinkler is a brilliant idea, thank you!! And enjoy your squeaky clean truck! Every few years I get a pro detail and enjoy it very much, especially since we live on a dirt road (understand about the dust for sure!).

Cold chisel? Once you get it off do the install correctly and use a good slather of anti-seize, brake grease, white grease, silicone, anything that will protect the install from the elements. Or maybe just sell it, that's ugly.

Today I bought a set of Bilstein 5100's front and rear. Can't wait for them to get here already! I found a great deal online, the set of 4 shocks for $379.

Agreed. Smack the crap out of that and knock it loose. Then take a wire wheel to all that rust and paint it. Become friends with Fluid Film. I don't know exactly what issue you're having with the bolt. I swapped mine out last week but didn't have an issue with the mounting bolts.

Starting the final stages of rear bumper fabrication

I finished making the swing arm brackets...now the arms are in proper position and I can begin to build the bumper shell and integrate with the plastic bumper surround

If you are going to get up on rocks with them, take them off and weld in some bracing. Lots of room and long spans with nothing. Otherwise yours will end up like mine- ~~~~
