Ordered a new rear door catch-lock motor. Mine started acting up last week and is currently being held closed by a ratchet strap. [emoji107]

just a friendly reminder to unplug the battery when you start, this will allow you to go through the computer reset procedures once you've finished installing the new latch. The new latch will not operate until you reset the rear door computer. had to pull up an old thread to remind myself of this yesterday after I replaced mine.

When I post pics using flickr: it posts extra text next to the pics. I don't care for that. Any suggestions? (I've seen where people said to reload the pictures, but I won't do that for now).

I've always used imgur and it's great. Just be sure to use the "Large Thumbnail" image size when you copy the link. That way it doesn't display giant images in your reply

Yeah, from the "Images" view, click the image, select the size you want (bottom right corner of the pop-up) then copy the "direct link" and use that

After I swapped CV's, I re-did the way my lights are set-up on the front. I had some 9" LEDS laying around, so i removed all 4 of my 6.25" ones, mounted the two 9" in the center and mounted two of the smaller ones literally on the sides of the 9" ones. Came out kinda clean, happy with it.

ran the alpine loop (engineer and cinammon pass). it was surprising timid given it had a blue rating the colorado 4wheel drive book. the views from engineer pass were some of the best ive ever seen and the side trip to american basin is not to be missed. most wildflowers ive ever seen. prepare for an all day endevor if you decide to do it. base camp was in cimmaron and i think we were out for 13 hours with all the travel and stops.

Did an oil change on Monday and got yelled at by one of the maintenance guys at my new apartment. Apparently we're not allowed to do oil changes in their lot.

Installed Hella Extreme yellows in the fogs. The don't quite fit right so tomorrow I'll be messing around with that some more.

take your time putting the bulb in the socket, also make sure its 9006, sometime you might have to push the bulb in and twist.

I'm gonna try swapping the old gaskets from the stock bulbs into the new ones first. The Hellas are maybe a millimeter too long so hopefully that'll fix it. If it comes down to it, I'll just pull the whole housing out so I can actually see what the problem is

Did a little work myself. Simple quick oil change thanks to the fumoto valve. Mess free too.
Took it to the dealership for a noise I was hearing up front when ac was kicked on. Turned out to be the belt tensioner. They quoted me $580. Almost $280 for the part. . . I bought the part myself($85)and gave my certified mechanic friend $100 bucks and he took care of it.

Pardon the dirty skid but I also attached a picture of the valve showing how it does not stick out past the skid and in my offroading have never had an issue with it

Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm going over Cinnamon Pass as part of my route in a week and a half. Was there much traffic? Any suggestions for stops or highlights along that trail?

Hi, I ordered a 10-pack of 90467-08217 through eBay for $8 shipped.

My seller doesn't seem to have any left, but there are other sellers who do. Just make sure to double-check the part number, as there are many confusing results.

Today, my trusted mechanic took care of the remaining items:

• Tuesday: transferred license plates and city sticker
• Thursday: replaced cabin air filter; folded and inserted small piece of cardboard from cabin air filter packaging to keep "secret" glove compartment from opening
• Friday: replaced the dealer's sucky rust-prone license plate screws with nice stainless machine screws; attached/hid piece of cardboard for secret compartment with black electric tape

If I read correctly, it appears he downloaded maps onto a thumb drive, and then accesses them when he no longer has cell service on his tablet or phone. Also he can dump phots and vidoes wirelessly to free up space on the 2 mobile devices as well.

Both of these observations are exactly right!

I can also store videos on the thumb drive for streaming via WiFi, without taking up mobile device memory.
