Not pictured is 2 1/2” top plate spacers and 1 1/4 inch spacer to level the lean
Sway bar relocate and differential drop from wheelers as well as 2” longer top plate studs
I’m trying to decide whether the 1/4” spacer will be really necessary or not

I have essentially the same set-up, I didn't use the rear spacer and there is no noticeable lean.

Got the clips to put front flares back on from Amazon. Had to epoxy a couple mounting points back solid. Finished the next round of trimming front and rear. Time to mount the tires!

Took off the brush guard and started sanding off the last persons bad paint job. Started first coat poorly so I'll sand it again tomorrow.

I normally give it a good detailing around the birthday but things have not been so good lately so I haven't had time.

replaced driver side half axle and installed console organizer

A couple of weeks ago, my trusted mechanic installed the driver side half axle I had ordered from CVJ Axles in Denver. This ended up costing $108 + $60 for OEM boots + 25 shipping each way (with a prepaid return label from them). (There is also a $95 refundable core deposit.) This is almost three times one would pay at a parts store, but it seems to be of much better quality. For a decent price, you are getting a remanufactured OEM axle with the tulip-shaped cup.

Then I installed the Salex Vehicle OCD center console organizer.

To me, this makes a huge difference for having random access to chargers and battery eliminators for various phones and radios. It fits the center console exactly, including the rounded lower rear corner. Yes, one could easily fab this oneself, but that takes time, makes a mess, and might result in minor injury.

The good news is that they just came out with a center console tray for the 4th-gen, which I also ordered.

My old floor jack took a crap on me (stopped going down) so I used that as an excuse to buy a new one.

Costco had an Arcan 3 ton aluminum and steel floor jack for $99 and weighs 58 pounds. In store they had an all steel version for $79 but it weighed 80lbs. I went with the aluminum and steel version and its been so much nicer using that on my 4 runner. It lifts with just a few pumps and doesn't seem to struggle a bit. I didn't want to drop a fortune on a new jack but I also didn't want to gamble with something from Harbor Frieght.

I also installed the fumoto valve and look forward to changing my oil next time. Should be such a breeze.

Much better on my second try. Ran out of paint, but so far so good. Worked so much better in the sun today with really light coats. Satin black rattlecan.

No rubbing on the body mount but had to clear some of the liner and front mud guard.

Finished work on tailgate...

- Installed interior tailgate release switch since I'm gonna be camping in the car a lot next year. This was much more of a PITA than I expected but final result came out great:

- Plasti dipped rear trim in black (color matched was nice but previous owner scratched the f*** out of it)

- Touched up rusted areas underneath the left and right edges of the trim piece

I've had one in mine for a couple of years now. I open the valve, then go swap out the filter. By the time I'm done swapping out the filter and giving the engine bay a once over, the oil has just finished draining out. Seems like it was designed for the timing to be perfect! :eyebrows:

I've had one in mine for a couple of years now. I open the valve, then go swap out the filter. By the time I'm done swapping out the filter and giving the engine bay a once over, the oil has just finished draining out. Seems like it was designed for the timing to be perfect! :eyebrows:

I cut open a door for my oil filter on my V8 so the skid plate never has to come off ever again. Look forward to easy oil changing the next time I am ready with the fumoto valve. Going to be a piece of cake changing the oil.

Replaced my passenger side, front wheel bearing and also bled the brakes while I was down there.
