Just make sure to also cut off the resonator if you're really going for increased beefy sound. Also might as well turn your exhaust out behind the back wheel at 45-90 degrees to prevent fumes coming in the back window.
I've noticed there is a very small drone from around 1800-2100rpm's but it's not crazy and I don't really have a problem with it. I would say its worth it IMO:tongue1:

Already routed out the side with resonator delete. One of my first mods after I smashed the tip my first time offroad.
Perfect. Wanted a little more growl, but not excessive.

Yep, then you picked the perfect choice. You barely notice anything unless you mean for it to be louder by playing with the pedal right or by accelerating, in which it sounds amazing. Hook me up with some audio when everything is said and done! I may be getting your input on your NWTI bumper and other weld together bumpers vs pre-constructed bumpers

My CEL/VSC/etc. lights came on today. Stopped and gave the truck the once over. No issues underhood or with the fluids that I could see. I *think* the gas cap was loose. Tightened it up and 3 starts later the lights are still on.
Now that I'm home in my driveway I'm going to pop off the battery cable and reset the computer. Hopefully it's just that and not an O2 sensor.
It's been brutally cold here, which might mean nothing.

Disconnecting the battery seems to have cleared it, so hopefully it was the loose gas cap. :clap2:
Which backup camera did you end up buying? Did that grill cost $175? That's the price I'm seeing online.
Not hard, took may be 5 hours. I also replaced all the seals though. Dealer goes by book time. Book time tells them to pull the tranny. In reality you can drop just the transfercase, takes about an hour, then a hour to split the case and hour to reinstall.
This is assuming that you know what you are doing. Realistically, 10 hours for a person starting from scratch. Half a day for me to take the transfer case out, half the day to put it in.

Week off of work means garage time. I just picked up my new-to-me 4Runner a few weeks ago so getting caught up basic maintenance

Transfer case fluid
Lube drive shaft
K&N air filter
Installed daystar spacer lift
Waiting on parts to come in for a transmission fluid and filter exchange and wheel bearings from NJ636

A little late for this update, but had the front CV axles replaced a week ago after they started leaking from my OME lift.
Just a heads up to those who have a lift installed, keep an eye on your CV boots for any leakage. Mine started leaking less than 100 miles after the lift was installed.

This is true. Although I only started working on Toyotas in the last 3 years, I used to be a Subaru mechanic and have a lot of wrenching experience.
This job is not hard, I think anyone who can pay attention to detail and has a mechanical aptitude can tackle this, but it would take 1-2 days for them. I personally think timing belts are much more involved than this, so if you can do that....

Started getting a lot of wandering on the highway (mostly pulling left but sometimes right). Brought it in for an alignment and they said the alignment seemed fine and within spec. They inspected my steering rack and said it was leaking. Also said my shocks were leaking and beyond their lifespan (155k miles). They also noticed my torn cv boots and suggested replacement.
They quoted me about $3,000 for everything (1200 for steering rack replacement, 1300 for shocks, 500 for cv replacement).
I'll likely do the shocks and cv's myself. The rack sounds horrible to replace from what I've researched so I may let them deal with that.
I'm also in the process of replacing my windshield and new tires so 2018 is going to be a pricey year for the 4 runner.
