What did you do with your 4runner today?

Put some new American Outlaw Lonestar wheels, washed her, and modded my original factory fog lights to my own LEDs

How did you get your LED's to work on the factory wiring? I couldn't get mine to work. I read somewhere it had to do with LED's having so little watts or something like that.

Swapped out the oem bolts on my roof rack with torx bolts for a little bit of security. Also laid out my cargo net to see how it fits on the rack

What other wires? You see extra wiring in the front center console picture I posted? I saw one plug (nothing connected), I wonder if it's already wired for a front LED light bar or something.... I'll have to check.

Those larger black wires are not from the stock vehicle harness. They could possibly be going to a switch somewhere or maybe a USB charger? I've tapped into those same wires on mine to use for a USB charger & power to control a relay for my inverter.

I believe the black and blue plugs are used for the heated seat controls. (I have them but they're not used because I don't have heated seats). I could be wrong about this.

Installed new headlights and fog lights. All lights had bad seals, so lots of moisture and corrosion.

and changed the front and rear differential oil...and picked up a new battery at Costco and swapped it in the parking lot.

I just used the male crimp connectors similar to this one that I just picked up at a local parts store https://www.amazon.com/Baomain-Insu...ocphy=9028099&hvtargid=pla-348514174067&psc=1

Just crimped it to the wiring of the LEDs and plugged it straight into the factory fog light harness and it powers right on when I flip the switch. Otherwise, you’d have to wire it into a separate switch if you can get it to work. But I liked keeping my factory.

Also, I’m positive you did this, but make sure the wiring is correct. The red wire off the fog light is the positive that goes into the white and black wire of the factory harness, and the solid black from the fog light goes into the solid green wire on the factory harness.

Thanks man. I might have to just do this instead. I used a universal harness I bought from Amazon that plugged right into the factory harness and it fit great and all prongs lined up, but I still couldn't get it to work.

THIS. I had to reverse mine as well. I used a little pick to release the prongs from the connectors and swapped them and then the lights worked.

I just changed the oil and filter, and after 190,000 miles, finally installed a Fumoto oil drain valve. Sent a Used Oil Analysis in for the first time. Interested to see the results of the UOA.

Wired up my ARB Compressor. I took my time and waaaaaaay over-analyzed the whole process, but I now have a working air compressor under the hood. :thumb:

Added D-rings to make the currently useless cargo area upper hooks capable of retaining a bungee cord. Am I missing something as to the intended function of the stock hooks?
