attempting to fix my cluster issue

been having this problem with my cluster upon startup. it'll go through the test for about 45 seconds or so. I took the negative terminal off in hopes that might reset it but no luck there. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening? Started randomly..

Really? That doesn’t look so bad. On my wife’s A4 Avant you literally have to take the entire front end of the car off; bumper, headlights, etc.

It’s probably comparable to the Audi, just different.

I put my stock radio back in!

Changed oil/filter, air filter, cabin filter, removed the HCF, cleaned up the engine bay a little, replaced some rusty bolts with stainless bolts, and finally mounted the front license plate.

jacked up the truck, and my driver side wheel bearing is going.:shrug:
time to replace both now, truck is at 175k i think.
gota work this holiday again to make extra money for the repair, since im limited with tools, i dont have the right wrench or socket for the job.
axle nut might be different since it was replaced with autozone duralast brand.

Yesterday on the way home from work, I got rear ended by a older ford f150. Thankfully I think the trailer hitch took the brunt of the impact. Otherwise, I do not see any other damage to the vehicle.

Going to call a body shop and have them look at the truck.

Threw in some local commentary for my mates in Overland Bound Queensland who took me on a memorable excursion outside Brisbane in April.

Not enough posts for build thread yet, but took last Friday off and spent the day pulling the original suspension out (100k miles) and installing King's OEM upgrade kit front and rear, SPC UCAs, and Wheeler's T12 springs. Infinitely better ride; I was able to compress the rear shocks by hand :frog:. How fortuitous, a thread on the engine bay splash guards was just bumped up. Didn't know what to call them so search was ineffective.

Any suggestions on what to replace those rubber fender curtains with? Mine were disintegrating and couldn't be removed without getting torn up. OEM? Aftermarket solution? Do I even bother?

I paid $146 OTD for all 5 seals. Online they are a little cheaper, but with shipping it was less than $10 difference.

So, for the rear hatch, you only replaced #3, and not #2? Mine all seem to be in pretty good shape, but the bottom corner, especially on the right, does not stay together properly. It’s almost like the run channel (part #2) has shrunk or something, because the side seems like it needs to be stretched downward to engage the bottom section better. I’ve considered replacing it just for that reason, but both pieces are around $137 without shipping. What bums me out is that they are in excellent physical condition for the age, other than that fit at the corner(s).
