Replaced the OEM low beam headlight bulbs with LEDs from XenonDepot. After all these years, one of the OEM bulbs finally burnt out.
What did you do with your 4runner today?

got a replacement set of camber bolts chemiblacked and sprayed the cam adjusters a bit silver to help seeing the marks under the truck, overkill ! , but i want it like this. im going to anti seize them on assembly .

How do you like them? When I bought my 4th gen it had terrible cheap Amazon LED's in the lows and they were just bad. Kind of turned me off of LED's for now.

Pretty new to 4runners, not new to overlanding / off road / modding cars. Picked up an 07 V8 and absolutely love it. Previous owner started her off right with a CBI bumper, rear e-locker, winch, led lights, 2.5 inch lift, skid plates and rock sliders.
I changed the wheels and slapped on some new 285/70/17 BFG AT's. Next I got a prinsu roof rack, and made an assembly video since they come with no instructions:

Then I made another one about the build out where I designed my own shovel / axe mount and used the hilift to hold down the mud ramps:

They are definitely brighter than the OEM bulbs but I think the cheap ebay headlight housings degrade their performance some. The pattern isn’t quite right but it was about the same with the OEM bulbs, just now the hot spots and slightly off patterns are more noticeable.

I put some eBay headlight assemblies in and put Lasfit LEDs in both the low and high spot. I'm getting a nice clear and clean cut off from the projectors that is obviously brighter than the halogens that were in the old housings.

Rear Floor vents
Been meaning to do this for awhile and finally put some time to it.
Between having Husky floor liners and the back of my front seat covers hanging low, the floor vents were mostly blocked.
The flap on the back of the front seat has elastic that would hold it in place, but it is aged and worn down. So I tied a loop in it and connected it to the hooks under the seat to hold it up off the floor.
Then I cut a strip of EVA foam (floor mat material that you can buy at Harbor Freight) and stuffed it under the floor vents so they point up better to clear the lip of my liners on the back floor.
Hopefully this helps get some better warm air flow to the back seats so they will heat up faster.

Yesterday, noticed the alternator whining after jump starting a friend's car. Battery read 11.3v with the car on. Limped it home and crossed my fingers the battery wouldn't drain out. Had Advance test the old one after I brought it back in for a core. Not sure if human testing error, but the old alternator started smoking (he had to fix the grounding clamp 3x).
Changed the alternator in the middle of a snow storm in 30 mins. Spent 20 finding my 10mm socket and wrench that slid both down.
174k on the OEM Denso unit.

Did you by chance have your vehicle running while your friend try to start it? If so, I've heard it can be tough on the diodes of an old alternator. Your alternator was probably already on it's way out and the jump finished the job lol.

Great, thanks! I'll consider trying them out when my current bulbs burn out.
Hmmm are they darker? They look almost the same except clean lenses. I need to replace mine too. They have tiny spider cracks in them.
Yes , the Sport Appearance package has darker reflectors inside the lamp.
It looks a million times better, and well worth the money.

are these oem from toyota or aftermarket?
oem toyota for the pair is like 475 from partznet when i bought them for my new hid retrofit.
