Ya, it hurt my heart a bit when I submitted the order but I was able to catch it on Black Friday from ToyTec at a price that I couldn't pass up. As much as I want them, the CBI front and rear bumpers are gonna throw my head for a loop too... oh well, I have no intention on selling this SUV for its lifetime.

1. Repaired windshield damage, a nickel-sized bulls-eye and another pea-shaped chip, with the Rain-X kit from Walmart and was very pleasantly surprised with the results. It was easy, took less than a half-hour, and both spots virtually disappeared. I would have taken before and after pics had I realized how well it would come out. A glass place wanted $75 to do both so that's a net $65 in my pocket.
2. Recently replaced my front & rear sway bar end links and have posted my OEM versions free + shipping in case they would be useful to anyone whose links are damaged or rusted up.

Thanks to those who uploaded the pdf's I was able to do the fender liners. Also picked up some new wheel arch liners from eBay and fitted them, not too sure how long they will last but they look good for now.
It's amazing the amount of little jobs you only notice after you buy a vehicle, especially one that's 14 years old.

Fixed my driver window! It'd been rolling up/down weird for a while and I'd assumed the glue that attaches it to the regulator had gone bad.
Nope! At some point during my adventures a bolt that attaches it to the regulator had come off. The bolt in question was conveniently located in the bottom of the door, so I reinstalled nice and tight and it's working great again

I replaced the wires and the distributor cap on my 96, hoping to fix an intermittent starting problem. Since there seemed to be a little condensation on the cap when I popped the old one off, I'm thinking I found the problem!

Yesterday, installed 650# springs on my Bilstein 6112's and got it aligned.
Perfect. Gained 1" over the 600# springs at the same perch settings. Much better feel too. Just slightly higher in the back which should be level when I load up with Jerry cans and camping gear.
Today, fixed a roof leak. I finally traced it down to the driver's side front foot for my Baja Rack. When I installed the rack, the mounting bracket fell into the roof. I was able to fish it out with a magnet, but couldn't really seal it with RTV like you're supposed to. I hoped for the best but it leaked.
Today, I pulled the entire front of the interior and dropped the front half of the headliner so I could access the roof where I needed to.
Old bracket and new:
The clip which was supposed to hold it in place had come loose allowing it to fall into the headliner.
Here's the new bracket clipped into place:
I did the passenger bracket too since I was already in there. Used copious amounts of RTV in the right places. Should be good and sealed now. :thumb:

Looks good! Notice any noise/flapping or anything when driving? That'd be my worry with cutting like this

Had to trim a quite a bit of the fender liner inside to reduce flapping sounds. did notice in the change of pitch of wind noise as well. Nothing i cant live with.
I finally made some progress on building out my 2008 Limited. I had the Bilstein 6112/5160 struts and shocks that have been sitting in my garage for 2 months installed. I had them set the front perches at 3 Drivers and 1 Passenger for a moderate lift of ~1.75" from where they were. I'm not sure how that compares to "stock" as I think there was quite a bit of "droop" in the front on the tired Xreas shocks.
Regardless, it looks awesome now...just about perfectly level!
While they were in there I had them replace the passenger inner CV boot and reclamp the drivers outer CV boot to address some leakage that was identified in the PPI when I bought it.

Did a Zero Calibration Reset today on my 2004 Limited 4x4 V8 using a fantastic tool from Montego Murph. My VSC lights were still on after replacing my gas cap and clearing the error for that.
Still debating my next improvements on my 4Runner.
I was looking at pulling off my side steps. Does anyone know what they weight? They are not the best looking.
I also already have some off road lights but not sure of the best way to hang them. At two as ditch lights or just hang them from the bumper/grill area.
