Took my boys out for a joy ride through cleghorn. Had a lot of fun and saw a lot of nice 4runners and Tacoma’s and even a land cruiser group. Also talked to a guy with a sweet 4th gen I believe he said his name is Michael

Had the remote starter installed. Cant beat $325 for a 2 way and the guy comes to me. Installed right in my driveway.
Took apart the dash to get ready for the new radio and installed some white leds in the climate control. Not sure I like the bulbs I got so may look around for some others idk.
Oh replaced the bulbs in the cup holders and shifter with leds also. They didn't fit at first had to shave them down.

Changed out the wheels finally. I picked up a set of 2003 Sequoia wheels off Craigslist for $150. They aren't perfect, a little rash on one and some chipped paint but they are much better than the fugly stock rims IMO. Little better offset too, they stick out a little further then the other ones.

It finally warmed up enough to put the 2-way remote starter I got in late December. Not too bad on these, only confusion was on the key sense line but I found a detailed thread on where to find it.

Swapped out my rear air suspension and had a coil conversion kit installed. The had to fill up for gas on the way home. Ugh.

Thanks, the info I had was vague on that one sense wire. I've installed quite a few remote starters but this is the first for a Toyota. Now I'm mulling over if I want to try and make the remote starter roll down the rear window when needed like the OEM fob does. Would be nice to only have to carry one fob.

Definitely. You can add two relays at the motor in the hatch and make it roll it down and up!

Ordered a new battery!
04 Sport still has the original battery! Seemed to be fine but it sat since sunday and died. Now that i think about it the guy just did the alternator so maybe the battery being weak contributed to needing the alternator done.
Getting a Autocraft Platinum AGM. Was between that and a Duracell AGM from sams club but in the end I got a slightly better price on the advance one with some coupons. Overspent on this truck so far so need to save where I can! About $155 with tax.

Ok, that is a pretty cool setup in that thread but they are using the OEM FOB. I know I could do this with my remote starter unit if I run wires back there but is there one wire under the dash area that would make the window open? At this point closing isn't such a big deal to me but I could change my mind on that. Thanks!

I know you have to go to the motor to wire it for up but I believe down you can do with a wire up front. I’ll double check in my system tomorrow and let you know.

I put in a new Alpine double DIN head unit. I like it a lot. Now I think I want to put in an amp specifically for the sub and it'll be good.
