I have the Rigid D2 SAE fogs and although I am impressed with the light I feel like it could be so much better. I also like the amber light a lot more than the 6000k light that mine throw currently.

The Rigid SAE's cutoff is quite good actually, they're just not nearly as wide or intense as the sports (52 vs 80 degree spread, 318 lux vs 352 lux @ 18' (yellow vs yellow)). The Pros are obviously even more intense (458 lux @18' (yellow)) but sacrifice the crisp cutoff for a taller pattern.
My eventual plan is to mount 4 of these to my steel bumper (when it gets here) and point the outer 2 slightly outwards/upwards.

One step closer
Installed reverse lights. Should go a long way to helping me see back there. haha Every other bulb is LED, including cup holder, glove box, shifter, climate control, full interior and exterior. Only lights left are the DRLs to figure out.

Great looking mod! I think I'm gonna have to follow in your footsteps. I want to try the SS3's with the angled front to fill in the fog light hole but what you've done painting the opening looks really good.

That honestly might work - if there are interference issues either the housing angled piece itself could be shaved down to fit or the pocket cover. I picked mine in anticipation of changing them over to another bumper and to avoid any of the possible fitment issues, although in retrospect it shouldn't be that hard.

I've been wanting to get BD SAE since I have BD for the rest of my lights. After seeing this cutoff and the price though, I'm gonna get these more than likely. I have a driving combo as dogs and only run them on an empty highway or back roads as they are obscenely bright.

I'm now contemplating getting the flush mount option for my steel bumper as the BD's don't quite fit in the square hole.

Havent been on here in a while, finally getting around to building my 4th gen after 6 years of ownership. I was in an accident last December, so I used my insurance money to buy a Shrockworks bumper/sliders. Installed new hood, limited grill, new headlights, and shrockworks bumper with 10k winch yesterday. Still have LOTS to do
(bumper isn't all the way on, I have to take it off today to replace a fender)

Diff extension mod finally got done. Routed mine along the frame and into the cab behind the tail light.
Materials (also did the slyfox SIAS bypass while I was at it - pictured right).
Sits right behind the tail light.
Through the vent hole.
Along the frame.
Left plenty of slack for articulation.

Let the fun begin! You going to color match the odd parts or what direction are you going?
Getting them painted next week more than likely, so I will be pulling the hood off again unfortunately (andddd the shrockworks bumper). I'm not going to pay to get it to match/blend with existing paint, once I start wheeling again I'll get some custom pin striping anyways :rockon:
I am plasti dipping some rims off a 5th gen right now, will update in a bit with some pics. My 255/75/17 duratracs are almost bald, so next decision will be to get another set in same size or upgrade to 255/80/17 + new suspension... decisions decisions

To replace them, I got these Strongway Double Locking 6 ton stands from Northern Tool. They have a locking pin in addition to the regular ratcheting pawl for added piece of mind. I saw a few people recommend them on here earlier this month before the recall wend official and decided they would be a safe replacement.

Hooked up my boat for the first time and took it for a shakedown test. Set the Airspring 1000s to 15psi and it rode nice and level and felt good. Monitored the trans temp with my scan tool from work and I was between 150 and 170 ( I installed a Hayden 679 trans cooler a couple weeks ago). I have a scangauge 2 on the way but this works for now. Putting it in the lake today as it is going to hit 85 in Maine! We haven't even broken into the 70's til today and wham 85.

I like the hood black with the red truck.
I used the 4runner today to tow my daughter's next car home. 4runner did great with the tow dolly setup.
Well I haven't really done anything to the 4runner but in the last 3 days this is what I've done with it. I hooked up my utility trailer to it and tried out the hitch and lights; worked fine. Then I used the 4runner like a tractor pulling the trailer around the yard doing yard work. Also, took the opportunity to do my monthly 4wd maintenance... meaning I engaged all the 4wd functions so it doesn't seize up. Now today the best news. All the parts I ordered came in. That includes my Daystar 2.5/1/5 lift, 2 cv axles, the actuators for the mode door and the blend door, and a door check for the driver's door. Now I've just gotta find the time to install all of that. My wife's having surgery next week so it may be a little while. Would it be wrong to abandon her after her surgery so I can work on my runner?

Clear coat was coming off the hood scoop, so I just dipped it. :fro:
