Got these in the mail.

295/70/17 Cooper Evolution M/Ts

Lightest E-rated MT tire I could find. Only 59lbs each. They are a fairly new tire so I was a little hesitant at buying, but from the few reviews I found they are said to be really good. Will get them mounted next week and going wheeling next weekend too.

Got them put on yesterday. It was rubbing quite a bit even with 4.8 degrees of caster. That's all my JBAs got me without screwing up the camber.
Had to trim some fender and do a BMC. Most of the rubbing is on the driver side probably because that side has the lean. Passenger side hasn't rubbed yet but I cut and trimmed anyways.
Tires themselves ride nice for M/Ts. Coming from 265/70 wildpeaks, these are a bit firmer. Nothing crazy though. Riding on the street with windows up, its not too loud.
Acceleration is also not much different from my 265/70s.

Still need to weld the BMC plate on. Im too lazy to pull out the welder and undo the body mount bolt again.

Looks stellar...the BMC is "easy" - - just need to knock it out over a few beers...don't forget to paint the raw steel when done!

Use a hairdryer or park your truck in the direct sunlight for as long as possible with constant light. Should dissipate and once it’s all gone, remove the light from the truck and run a bead of RTV or Silicone around the whole thing. Chances are high that moisture got in one of the bulb locations. Easy fix but if it persists, buy new light as they are fairly inexpensive.

Installed rear Toytec RCC2.0HD springs and moved the front Bilsteins from stock up a notch with my existing Toytec 2" springs. All to compensate for the hitch mount tire carrier (and boat towing this summer)

Skid plate installed and VLeds interior lights upgrade

My son and I modified new TRD skip plate since my 21 TRD ORP had the KDSS option. Love the look of the skid plate. We installed it today. I think I enjoyed my 15 year old helping me and learning more than anything. Got the interior lights upgraded with VLed's. Quite a difference that made. Looking forward to do more mods as I can.

I finally finished with the storage box I've been building. It doesn't have drawers, it has two hinged lids. Didn't want to spring for the cost of the drawer slides right now. I also built in an open storage at the front where the back of the seats lean back creating a triangle shaped area. It's perfect for small items but especially good for hiking poles and umbrellas. It also has a slide out table. My wife and I have picnics almost daily when we're in the NC mountains, which is a lot. Having the slide out table means I don't have to haul a folding one with us. I know it's not as fancy as many of the drawer systems I've seen on here but it'll suffice for now. And I've got less than $150 in it. Hope I can remember how to post pics, lol.

Started the Xreas removal process. Swapped out the oem for Bilsteins 4600. I disconnected the check valve but left the check valve on so the fronts can still operate. Tomorrow I will tackle the fronts and replace the front wheel bearings while its all apart.

The nut on the shock top is rust fused on so I probably will need to remove the whole coil-over to get it done. I need to rent a spring compressor. The rears had to be cut off.

Just completed the Scion Radio update. Happy with it. Though I am leaning towards getting the Toyota version just because. Waiting on the USB and Camera adapter. USB adapter is about 4+ weeks out.

Haven't had anything to post in a spell. Been waitin' on parts for a suspension overhaul. Plus, this time of year my time's spent on preparin' the home acreage for Spring and Summer... Sawing and prunin' out forest growth to reduce the severity of wildfire when it inevitably comes (burned in '08 and '17). If you've never had to work in poison oak but are used to poison ivy, well, consider yourself lucky. Even though it's not leafed out yet, poison oak is one itchy mofo.

But here's somethin' with the 4R that provides a little entertainment value to a Sunday. Needed to tighten all four wheel spacers after about 100 miles since installation. Figured while I had the front wheels off it was a good time to remove the mud flaps. Upon removin' the passenger side, it became apparent that there was a bunch of debris, including sand, packed into the lower body edge behind the mud flap. (Where the screwdriver is shown stickin' in.)

Turns out some damn mouse, before my ownership, thought this was a dandy spot to nest up. Used what looked to be chewed up blue insulation and/or blanket. I say before my ownership because of the apparent road sand packed into the mess - loads of it - and it's not used here. Nor have I driven it in sand. And the prior owner's cabin air filter was mouse chewed, replaced now with a HEPA filter. Looked as though these mud flap nest materials plugged the bottom body holes where sand might've been able to fall or wash out, makin' a perfect setting for accumulation of moisture and rust.

Sure not a predictable place for a mouse problem!

Hello,

That was a great week-end on the T4r.

I have :

. Replaced the 2 rear hard brake line because they were shot.

. Disamble the rear center armrest to discover some candy and juice can stuck in it...

. Disamble the front center console to replace the stopper for the ashtray door.

Now everything work as it should be and only cost elbow grease
