What did you do with your 4runner today?

I’ve wanted to do this for a while now. Got home from work with enough daylight left to do this quick mod.
Took just minutes. Several of the factory spray nozzles were clogged. I prefer this fan pattern spray much more.

Took off fuel tank skid in prep for new RCI fuel tank skid. Damn that bolt by the driveshaft...what a PIA!

I drove out to Caliente NV this weekend and rode their super amazing MTB trails. While I was at my campsite I decided to install my Rad Rubber slash guards.

Thanks! How do you like it? It looks really low profile more than any other rack I've seen. Have you put some weight on it to see how it holds up yet?

I've carried some wood planks, plywood and drywall, held up great.

Finally installed the RCI skids that were in my garage. Transfer case and Fuel tank skids. All i'm missing is the rear diff skid now!

Was able to do a few things today. Replaced the front right splash guard. Removed the light bar off the front bumper. Plasti dipped the grille. Fixed the annoying sunroof rattle.

Okay, I admit it: I’m OCD about my truck, today’s activity being the proof. I recently saw a post where one of the pics revealed that the DAC button on the console is supposed to light up. My DAC button did not light up, but it does now.

Replacing the little lightbulb (~$4 from Cobb County Toyota’s online parts store) is an easy 5-minute job, you just pull the shifter trim, unplug and remove the DAC switch, and use a small flat-head screwdriver to turn the bulb 1/4 so it comes out. Replace bulb & follow steps in reverse order. Lit!

This has been bothering me for a while wondering if that button was supposed to be lit!

Some maintenance: drain and fill radiator and overflow bottle with fresh coolant, drain and fill trans pan, clean mass air sensor, clean throttle body (it was filthy!) Still going to flush the brake system soon.

Installed a transmission cooler + thermostat to make sure it wasn't keeping my transmission temps too low.

And, since I still had some daylight left after the transmission work, I swapped the rear diff fluid which was of unknown age from the previous owner.

This truck is in damn good shape for 250k, and I fully intend to take it past a half million.

These showed up just in time for melt off and mud season. They should get a lot of use this hunt and next snow season.

This week I received and installed my new Ironman 3/2 suspension lift and JBA upper control arms. Can't believe how much lift I got out of this. I was running Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift and the difference is amazing. Almost more than I wanted. The front is a full 2 inches higher than it was with the Daystar. I attribute that to assuming my original springs had a good bit of sag to them. Anyway she's standing tall now.
BTW. Gotta say the customer service at both of these companies was fantastic. At Ironman I bought the lift kit at 15% off plus a free set of Treds traction boards, normally priced at $199. The next day was St Patricks day and they had a sale for 25% off plus the boards. I called and spoke to Bubba and they're gonna refund me the difference. That's what I call good customer service.
Now inside my front wheel wells look like Christmas with the lime green springs and the red UCA's. Couldn't be more pleased with the way it looks and rides and drives.

Got my headgaskets replaced. I was having issues with coolant overflowing and overheating after long drives. Decided to get them replaced before it got worse. Bought all the parts and tools to do it my self but just couldn't find the time with work and my 1.5 year old taking up most my time.
Found a guy who did it for a good price and went with him. He said my heads were warped so good thing I got them replaced and heads resurfaced.

Dumb thing I did was not replace the chains while I was already in there.
