I loved my Troopers but then they stopped making them. The Commander was really nice and had lots of character but also lots of little problems and was a gas guzzler.

The 4Runner is lacking a bit in luxury features, but is the perfect size, drives the most like a car of everything I have owned, and everything works great with no issues. What more could you ask for?

My favorite was the '90 4Runner (first love). It was light blue like this picture below (not my truck, but same trim). I was hoping they would reintroduce this color with the 5th gen, but I love my silver TE.

i've been driving for 14 years and go through cars pretty quick. My dad is a master tech with toyota, so he would find cheap cars to fix and i would buy them off of him.

I'm a newbie here but figured i'd contribute. My wife and I traded in our '07 FJ and '07 Subaru WRX for almost a straight across trade for a new 2011 SR5 with upgrade pkg. (Canadian). My friends thought I was a bit nuts to trade in my 2 babies but i've always loved 4runners and the deal was too good to pass up. Heres my list and a couple pics.

'07 Subaru specB - fast, fun, drove like a dream in the winter with snow tires but not big enough for all my work gear and not really me. I turned it in early before my last deployment. (lease-bad idea!)
'02 Pathfinder - Decent truck, ran good and got quite a bit of use, but some little nit-picky problems that annoyed me so I traded it in.
'97 Rodeo - Fun SUV to drive and got great use on some trails and the Florida beach when I was down there. Made several long trips and really racked up the miles, so I traded it after having it for 5+ years. I liked that vehicle back then and it served me well.
Before these vehilces it was a beat-up truck every 2 years or so, until they fell apart....
In the end, I saved quite a bit of money during deployment for the 4runner and couldn't be happier.....I always wanted one and when the 5G was realeased, I knew I had to have one! :guitar3:
