what do i need for a cb?

about to buy a Cobra 18WXSTII 40 Channel CB Radio............. besides the antenna what else should i buy? im gonna have a magnet antena/

You need a coax cable to run between the CB and the antenna.

Go for the FireStik pre-cut lengths of coax....no tuning required, typically. Not sure if that's only if you use a FireStik antenna, but I don't think so.

I have that same CB and love that it's a single DIN and I can put it in the dash. Not sure why other CBs aren't that size, too.

could you show a pic of your setup? what kind of antenna do you have? also whats the range with a cb?

Here are my pics. As far as range, I only really use mine while in the woods riding with a group and it is always strong. For long range, putting it on the roof is better with a magnet mount, as you have a stronger ground plane.

right ow i have a cd player in it... do i have to take out that small little plastic cubby hole under it? does the cb stay in there nice and tight?

also as far as magnet antenna which ones do you rec?
